This is my first season in Legacy Coach Mode. For some reason my best three players are listed as my reserves so I can never get them into the game. When I go to change my roster at the start game screen it wont let me select either of these players. How do I get these players off of the reserve list and into my lineup??

They might be transfers who have to sit out one year.

You can not edit your list of reserves once you are ready to play a game.

However, you can do it outside of the game.

From the management menu, choose rosters. (Not the main menu management, I am
referring to the management screen from within legacy mode.)

Here, you can move people up and down from your "reserves" group, as well as set situational lineups.

Instant000, you are only partially wrong. He cannot put them on the bench because he has passed the mark in which his rosters must be set. Once you have simulated passed the second Monday, you cannot move your reserve players onto the bench or vise versa.

It cann't happen like GT has stated above.If you have passsed the Preview show and sim passed that bluw jersey that is displayed on monday.Those players are reshirted until next year.Plus,if they are transfer they have to sit out this year anyway.so,just keep playing or start a new legacy.

Instant000, you are only partially wrong. He cannot put them on the bench because he has passed the mark in which his rosters must be set. Once you have simulated passed the second Monday, you cannot move your reserve players onto the bench or vise versa.

Huh? You are right in that he can not switch them around freely between bench and
reserves, as that is not possible after passing the second Monday. (So, yes, I am
partially wrong by saying he can move them from bench to reserves and vice versa,
as that is not possible once he passes that point in the season.)

However, he CAN remove them from the reserve list, but he can not put other players
onto the reserve list, as you can not place players onto the reserve list after the season
has progressed too far, as you pointed out above, which is true.

What I am meaning:

From within Legacy Mode > Management > Rosters

On this screen, you can scroll through your entire roster of players, (including the redshirts
who will be found at the very bottom of this list)

Once you highlight the player with a red jersey besides his name, press "X"

The menu will pop-up, with these options:

> Remove Redshirt
> Meet With Player
> Edit Player
> Cancel

You can remove the redshirt from the player, and start using them to play right away.
But, it will have the effect of taking up a redshirt year and a year of eligibility at the same
time (at least, that's what it looks like if you read it.)

Now, if you did this:
Management > Rosters > "Press Start Button" then you will be in the situational lineups
and stuff, and you are correct, on this screen, you can not move players from the
reserve group into the bench group.

Skarface2k1: Read what I stated above. You can remove the redshirt from the player,
thus removing them from your reserve section and adding them to your bench.
Once the player is on your bench, you can switch them up to being a starter.

I am hoping that this is a more complete answer for the original poster. (I also hope that he didn't restart his legacy all of a sudden, hehe.)

yeah same problem with mine. I havent simmed past the second monday or whatever but I do think that the players are in fact transfers because theres a circle in the top right corner that has T in it.

That would make them a transfer and they have to sit out one year.
