I saw the thread about the magazine, which was about 10 pages long and I didn't feel like reading through all of them. Then I saw the thing about Dan and Peter.

So, since I haven't been checking the forums in about a week, is there any information abuot the game out there yet???

How about you just remove the stupid signature and simply IGNORE the people. You see the ignore feature is part of the forum software. You little "Who's Next" signature filled with names of people is NOT part of the forum software, nor would it have been the intention of any forum administrator. By placing them in a signature you do so just to get a rise out of the people. Making you no better then the people on that very list. For the betterment of the forum just get rid of it and prove that the dictionaries version of ignore is the correct one.

You keep talking about respect, intelligence, attacks etc, etc and yet you pull this kind of crap I might expect from a pre-pubescent little boy with a secret crush.

Plus IT MIGHT shut GoodSense up about this and that would be great. You guys are just ruining thread after thread with this crap.

I've explained why I'm doing this, and it's a pretty damn good reason. You seem to deeply dislike it. Fair enough. But, because of its purpose I won't change it right now, especially not on the words of someone who has yet to establish any long-term value to this community.

My intent is to help the community identify posters that cause problems and add nothing to the experience here. If this helps those people no longer be a nuisance, i.e. they get banned for going too far, then it's worked.

As for getting rises out of people, actually, that's the other person's choice to get angry. If a person can't control themselves over something like that, #1 It only proves my point as to the reasons they'd be on the list and #2 It further shows why they're on the list in the first place.

I read your post for what it is and don't care if it is your 1st or 10,000 post.
How many post just tells where a person spends most of their time when you think of it.

He likes facts... Read All PRO suggestions. He hasn't posted long, but they are good ideas. No attacks, just casual conversation.

This is my first run in with someone on this board. Look at the number he has and counting.

I've enjoyed exchanging some nice ideas with people whether that person agrees or disagrees.

People still get banned at OS and I have not been a moderator for years. Guess that is just part of running a forum. Weeding out the crap will always exist as long as stupidity runs rampant.

That's a fair challenge BigD, and unlike some other people here, you challenged without attacking me, so I'll respond fairly also. My point is not that he is totally invalid or something, neither was I trying to belittle him based on his post count. My point was that there is a lot of history that's taken place in this community and a new poster is not going to be aware of all of it. What new posters must realize is that my actions today are representative of things that have been taking place here over the years, and my actions are also in response to some of those problems. I have to do what's in my power to keep myself around, and I won't do that if I have to be attacked for no good reason every time I post. I'm here to have fun; but that's not fun, and that's not what I'm here for.

I left this site last year with no intention to return simply because I couldn't go one post without someone popping up to hurl insults. Many good, worthwhile posters tried to persuade me to come back, sending many emails and a some even sent me letters by mail. I responded to each, telling them that my stance wouldn't change; I would only return if 2K announced a new football game, and I was sticking to that without regret (and mostly because I didn't think 2K was ever going to come back).

When the game was announced, I was shocked. But, I was also ready to keep my promise and return. With this in mind, I realized that in order for me to remain here, I'd have to do some things differently, this being one of them. I don't plan to keep the list up forever, just until I feel it's accomplished at least part of it's intent and that is identification.

It's Hemingway just FYI. I can only imagine this error is due in part to not having reached a grade level high enough to read and appreciate his work. The child like use of a homosexual term to describe someone is also a bit of a giveaway. Once you get to that grade level I highly recommend, "For Whom the Bell Tolls." Kind of an appropriate book title based on your average post.

Sorry to hear they never had the pleasure to ban you at OS. Something tells me you were probably on your way there and I doubt a welcoming party is awaiting your return.

Hey Cambest3 - it's not very often that I lash out at people (in person or on message boards) but this guy really is a jerk off. It's funny that you mention the meeting thing... I was a member of an online PC hockey league (NHL 99) back in the day and there was this twerp who ran his mouth all the time on my commish's homepage about how he would do this and that to me. He kept talking ghetto and said that he was "reppin' H-town". Funny thing was that I lived in Houston, TX, too (H-town). Through feeding his ego, I asked where in Houston he was from and he happen to live 20 minutes from my house. That's when I told him I lived around the block from him and challenged him to go to the Main Street Boxing Gym where I occaionally worked out and we'd don the gloves and settle it there. I did all this through the commish's website so the guys in the league saw it. He started talking all kinds of smack again and how "It was on!!".

To make this long story shorter, the punk never showed. Of course he went to the commish's homepage and started blabbing about how I chickened out and all that.. blah blah blah. So it CAN happen if people want to make it happen but more times than not, people hide behind their screen name and signatures and talk smack like they're 6'5" and 260 lbs. Oh wait... that's me.

Cam - I'm with ya on the 2K Sorts focus comment but not so much on the "Take Down EA" movement. EA Sports games do suck for the most part but EA does make 2K Sports work harder which results in great games for us.
