Too stupid to hit home runs ?

Hi folks,

I used to play MLB 2k6 on my Xbox and I have to commit, that hitting a home run was maybe a little bit to easy.

Now I own the new MLB 2k7 and I can't hit a home run at all. All I read in forums is, that it's still to easy to hit one out of the park. But unfortunately not for me. Even if I guessed the pitch right, the ball is right in the middle of the plate and Big Papi is up all I get is a lousy ground out.

I still use the swing stick for hitting and I have never pushed the swing stick up in the previous game MLB 2k6 to hit a home run. Now I read that I have to push the swing stick forward to execute a power swing. Well, all I get is lousy fly balls. I have played almost 30 games over 9 innings and all I got was 1 home run from Julio Lugo.

So, I hope anyone out there can help me out with my hitting.

I had a guy hit about 80 on 2k6. I am finding it much harder on this game. I got about 50 games into the season and had a handful of guys on pace for 40. Started over with difficult up. I haven't hit a single homer in 19 games. I am hitting all sorts of ground rule doubles in the gap, but I'm not sure I've hit one to the warning track either. I haven't fiddled with the sliders. I'm still winning a little more than I should because pitching is so easy, but I'm glad other people are having similar problems.

IM PLAYING WITH HOUSTON AND THREW 10 GAMES I HAVE 9 HRS.I HAVE IT ON DIFFICULT.I HAVE HIT MORE HR'S WHEN JUST HACKING AT A PITCH I DONT HAVE LOCKED ON.YES,.......LOTS OF DOUBLES

threw about 65 games I have Carlos Beltran with 20 homeruns, Bill Hall with 19, and Kevin Kouzmanoff with 14. So i'm not finding it impossible of any sort.

Wow..i don't feel as bad any more...i've hit 5 home run in 20 Games. I'm a single and triple matchine. Tips on Power would be very useful. I'm only at pro level and i want to improve my hitting So i can move up levels. Pitching is TOO easy at pro...i have a team ERA of 2., i need my hitting skills to catch up to my pitching skills

Only thing I can suggest is wait for some pitches and eventually they'll leave some up in the zone that you can clobber.
