EA Sports has everyone brainwashed. They get people to believe that they are the only

gaming company to buy games from. It seems liek whatever game they come out with it

will sell 500 thousand copies. Look at Burnout. When acclaim made the game it was lucky

to sell 20 thousand copies, yet when EA bought the rights the games were best sellers and

topped the charts. If you took all of the 2k Sports games and put EA sports logos on the

cover of the game, they will sell alot more copies, yet it will still be the same game that 2K

makes. I bet if EA made a game where a guy plants a garden and watches it grow it will

be a top seller, but any other company could make the same game and it wont sell one

copy. That is why they make such crappy games, because people buy whatever they put

out to consumers. If they would have put live 07 out for the ps3 it would be a big seller

too. Peopel just see the logo on the game case and buy it no matter what it is. Like for

instance the mvp baseball game. If 2K sports would have made that game it wouldnt sell

more than ten copies. It always was this way and always will be.

you make it seem like that's a bad thing..

Or maybe its because i'm looking at it from EA perspective..

you are.

they put out crappy games because people buy them no matter what.

That is why madden is the same every year, because people will buy it no matter what it

plays like, and I wouldnt blame them either, but it is the customers fault for supporting

their crap. If fans would say that we are not buying this game this year because it is

horrible, then they would have to say somethign is wrong here and put out a better game.

It really doesn't matter anymore now, with APF2K8 coming the hammer is about to be dropped and we'll see things in this game that TRULY represents the things we see in the NFL that EA fails to do each and every year and this time there won't be any license for EA to take to stop 2K sports.

Watch EA continue to copy what 2K brings new to the table this year next year for Madden 09'........it's the only way EA can "add" new features.

The only reason madden sells is from name recognition alone, not from EA's game making skills......lol

PS... There is a reason they did not put NBA Live 07 out on the PS3. They know there is line on how much they can get away with. All the bad press scared them away from alienating their basketball fans by releasing it. If the press did a better job in reviews, finding stuff like the reused rosters in MVP07, people might start paying more attention to an EA Game getting a 5 or 6 out of 10, instead of the traditional high 7, 8 or 9 heaped on said games. Sadly most gamers do not take the time to READ the review and just look at the score and highlights at the bottom.

Regarding Burnout:

It could also be that Acclaim was such a crappy publisher as to why it did low numbers early on. CRITERION is why Burnout is great (EA or no EA). Not all of EA's games are crappy. I enjoy Fight Night, Tiger Woods is getting better and Rugby 06 is a tremendous game that most people have never played (yet lump into the all EA games suck mantra). Much better then previous versions.

No, not all of EA's aren't bad at all (i love BFMC2 for ps2 that i now play on my ps3).....it's just football that EA sucks sand at.
