Is this possible?

Haven't been able to figure this one out either. Best option I have found is to actually pause the game if you need to go take a dump or the pitcher is taking their sweet time locating the pitch. When you come back and 'un-pause' - force your batter to swap what side he is hitting from using the 'right bumper' button. Then just tap 'A' to skip the animations then tap right bumper once more to swap back to the original side you were batting from. It can be done fairly quick and this will assure you have the full pitch approach time. Biggest downside from doing this is listening to the game announcers make sarcastic comments about changing what side you are batting from :)

A good way to make time while at bat would be ... pressing right or left with the D pad . Especially when your trying to steal base, a good way to time the pitcher and get 2 steps of jump.

For sure they need to implicate this in the MLB2k8. It's gotta be possible because the comp. does it anytime it wants at least once a game with me

I've seen J. Reyes call time. But it was a CPU controlled batter.
