View Full Version : What Legends Did They Miss?

cracka jac
April 25th, 2007, 10:06 PM
Are there any legends not in this game that you think should be in it(legends that EA does not own the rights to)

Since he just reitred I would say Troy Vincent

Some other possibilities

Archie Manning, Randall Cunningham, Bo Jackson, Larry Csonka, The Marks Brothers, Ken Stabler, Deion Sanders, Marshall Faulk, Emmitt Smith.

These are just a few, some of which I am not 100 percetn sure if EA owns their rights

BigDRunnin

Archie Manning is in the game

Tikki Barber maybe, Lawrence Taylor, Steve Young

Definately Kenny Easley, As long as they have Ronnie Lott. It will do.
How about Eric ****rson.

I think Lawrence Taylor cant be in it because he is with Blitz the League. Im sure there is legal reasons because of that.

They need Cunningham or/and Fran Tarkenton. Need some running QBs. Any Running QBs on there, I dont see many.

I know they're not hall of famers but I would like to see either Terry or Eric Metcalf make the list. Terry was one of the better backs in the 70's and Eric was one of the best kick/punt returners of all time. And maybe some Doug Williams. I'm not complaining I'm just happy its not a completely generic game:)

MorningGlory
April 25th, 2007, 10:46 PM
Eric Dickerson is in it. And I'm sure that they don't have some obvious people for good reason. I noticed that they don't have the key elements of the dominating Pittsburgh Steelrs from the 70's ( Bradshow, O'Harris, Swann, etc. ) But does anyone know if that is everyone ? The list at the bottom said over 240 "legends" would be in the game. I don't think that the list they have is over 240 or anywhere close. But I could be wrong.

Marino 'JOB' is talk about the nfl, so his contracter might be but he is not part of it.

As for Michael , maybe not because if there's signature style he'll be grabbing everybodies arms and hands :rotfl: and it'll result in pass inteference if he's on the field.

And deion is contracted by the NFl so maybe he is being loyal or something or maybe Ea payed him so cash, hey ea are like mobstas.

No its spelled right, that's not Kurt Warner QB of the Rams, Giants, and Cardinals. Thats Curt Warner running back of the Seattle Seahawks and L.A. Rams.

totalownership
April 26th, 2007, 12:12 AM
Yeah at this point in time I don't think Kurt Warner seems himself as a "Legend" of the NFL in the sense of a guy who can't play a down anymore but was something special in his time. In his mind it's still "GO TIME" lol

I'm disappointed they couldn't work something out with the guys who make Blitz and get LT in the game. That really hurts, on the other hand Jeff Hostetler?!?!?!? I'm the biggest Giants fan as they come but Hostetler, Legendary. LOL The stretching it a bit but f'k it. MY GIANTS, MY LEGENDS, MY SQUAD! Naw I take it back, I mean don't get me wrong, what he did for the Giants was nothing short of spectatcular for a dude who was riding the pine most of his career. And watching him do his thing made you feel like you could do it too. Like a "people's champ". The everyday guy winning it all so that being said watch out for Hostetler's clutch baby. Don't forget, he WILL tuck it and run if he gotta.

kcxiv
April 26th, 2007, 12:32 AM
There just will be some guys left out. I am sure not everyone agreed to be on the game. They had to make ALOT of deals with ALOT of people. They had to do all that **** individually. THat alone tells you they worked their asses off to make this game. What they did was no easy task.

Ok well, remember they can't add kurt warner, terrell davis, tiki barber, they had what 5 years or less of sucess?
This is NFL legends that did it mostly throught of their whole carreer not 2 or 3 seasons,
adding this type of players hurts the intergrity of this game, so stop asking for tiki.

LMAO Dude let's get real. If they can add Jeff Hostetler the can CERTAINLY add the all the names you just mentioned.
Don't get me wrong, Jeff Hostetler was the kinda guy you can root for and get behind but to call him a legend of the game may be stretching it. However he did have a legendary period of time in his career.

Uh, I guess you don't know who Otto Graham is huh?

People made a big deal when Tom Brady won a few Superbowls in a row the last few years. Graham did it 10 years in a row. I'll put Graham up against any other QB that you call the greatest of all time, and we could argue all day about who is better, but in the end, they're both up there on the list. And he was just as good of a runner as he was a passer. Perhaps the best running QB of all time.

This is NFL legends that did it mostly throught of their whole carreer not 2 or 3 seasons,
adding this type of players hurts the intergrity of this game, so stop asking for tiki.

Obviously, having Marino in the game without Clayton and Duper is a head scratcher. They must realize that older fans who grew up with this era of football are going to be clamoring for that tandem.

Also, not having Dan Fouts, Charlie Joiner, Lance Alworth or Kellen Winslow is disappointing, as is the absence of Lawrence Taylor and obviously Jim Brown.

The truth is that for every legend they've been able to include, there's at least 3 or 4 others from that team and era that were left out. I understand the task of signing hundreds of legends must be daunting, so I'm pretty happy about the current list of legends.

I am excited about seeing new legends added each year, and the lists you're all making looks pretty good.

How about:

Phil Simms - QB
Rodney Hampton - RB
Jumbo Elliott - OT
Steve Young - QB
Chad Lewis - TE
Darryl Talley - LB
Bart Oates - C
Andre Tippett - LB
Leonard Russell - RB
Maurice Carthon - FB

...and the list goes on and on!

Say no to cunningham,we dont need no mike vick that can ruin online play with the cheese, no thanks.

Wrong! I don't like the cheese either, but if they do not have an option for QB Spy like they have to Blitz, Delay Blitz, Man, etc... then 2ksports will have made a huge mistake.

The answer to the QB running cheese is a simple fix to the program.
Look... if Madden can implement it then 2ksports should be able to do it as well.

There's a fix for QB running? Every single football game ever made has that flaw. I just don't see how any game can fix it... other than making the DL and LB's run faster when the QB breaks the line but still... if you have a super fast QB... then you're going to get first down after first down.

damn..... this makes me realize the first black QB drafted in the 1st round that had mad skillz but they didn't know how to use him..... it would be PHAT if he is in the game. He was a raider if anyone cares to search.
