God I hope so because Online Leagues are the main reason I love 2K games.

With about 250 legends in the game, it would only be possible to fill 6-10 rosters, so I don't know how they would handle on-line leagues. I'm envisioning a bunch of on-line tournaments where players can go through and draft legends to begin the tournament. Then, they can play through the tourney with those teams.

I think the limit on the number of legends may have a lot to do with the lack of a Franchise mode. A full NFL-size league would require 1500+ players (plus another few hundred in a free agent pool), so creating a Franchise mode would "water down" the legends appeal by mixing a handful of legends in with 40+ "scrubs" needed to make a full team. To be honest, I wouldn't mind that kind of setup if it meant being able to play a Franchise and developing a team over a number of seasons.

I am excited about getting some real on-line play back. Madden's lack of on-line leagues is inexcusable at this point, and one hope I have is that 2K's return will push Madden into developing real leagues on-line.

I am sure the game will have generic and created players playing beside some of the legends. I bet you have a certain amount of legends you can choose from when you create a team offline or online. Think about it, pick a team then pick 7 legends ....anyones you want to go with that team!!!! SWEETEEETTT!!!!

I too am worried about no mention of online leagues ............... That is the biggest selling point for 2K games IMO.

2k has always been about the online experience. Of course they will have online leagues.

I remember reading somewhere where you could build your own team and play online. No word of a league though :(

I'm not buying without online leagues. That made videogame football for me.

6-10 teams is fine, you don't need 32 teams.

Ya thats probably a bigger issue to me than franchise mode. I never really cared that much to sit back and play franchise all day. Sure I simmed a few seasons and try to sing some free agents, but I was usually in 3-5 online leagues at any time and thats what took up the majority of my time playing the game. I liked them so much that I didn't even play a online ranked matches anymore. Just league games.

I will not pay $60 unless there are online leagues.
