Keep in mind my friend.
All I did was break huddle came to the line to kick a FG.
No tricks. This is actual game play.

I couldn't get mad because I didn't buy the game.
I actually :rotfl: because here you have an EXCLUSIVE NFL LICENSE and this is what you put out? On a system you are familiar with? Xbox. Not 360 Xbox, but just XBOX.
Don't let the highlight under the kicker fool ya.
I had no control. The game logic kept stepping him through the setup to kick animation.
There are plenty of glitch videos on the internet. I couldn't pass this one up when I saw it so I hooked up my computer to record the instant replay of the play.
Oh... and that is even screwed up because many times the instant replay doesn't begin from the start of the play as in this case. The ball was hiked already, but that was as far back as I could go.
Enjoy your supposed real game.

now thats what im talking about.
People talk about 2k5 like it was the greatest thing since slice bread. I dont know what game they were playing because my 2k5 game had me running for over 2000 yards with Clinton Portis by week 8. And on D it had playing with the DE's or DT's way to easy (had Tommy Harris having over 20 sacks by week 8 playing dime coverage) and then it was impossibly to pay with the secondaries.

i was agreeing with you till you said that.. NFL2k5 was best at using safties.. It was fun and challenging and took skill.. Better than any football game i ever played

well idk bout the safties but I know when you were tried to switch to a cb and deflect the pass away they would do some weird animation.

Notice the title of this thread?
It is there for a reason.
I know about glitches in 2k5. Heck I was on this board posting about them along with others. 2k5 players don't doubt there are flaws in the game. If you don't believe me ask anyone who runs a SIM league. But... that wasn't the purpose for this post.
You'd have to know the history behind dialog that involved 6785.
He is making it seem like Madden is flawless and that this game will suck because they haven't made a football game since 2k5. He is questioning spending his money for this game.
So...
My point is okay. You got Madden. Again, an EXCLUSIVE LICENSE to represent the NFL.
It is NOT 2005, 2006, but the latest and greatest on a system they are already familiar with XBOX, and this exist in the game??????
It is not about who can find the most problems, but if we are talking about worth I'm sure when you buy products you expect quality too. You buy a car I'm sure you don't car how FRESH the paint and New Car Scent is if it is filled with flaws.
The first video link you have is the first I've seen too.
I never saw a flaw like that before, but what it looks like is the guy got hurt during the play and there was no logic in place to handle that situation.
See in the Software Development world the emphasis has been placed on memorization of libraries, etc... but simple LOGIC which controls the flow is not taken into account.
Right now a lot of software is being programmed by people who have memorized lets say .NET Library and could probably put together functioning code, but a lot of times it has flaws in it because they do not take the time to work out the scenario/logic/parameters.
It nice that they know the library and all, but it matters not if they can't put together logic that is keeps itself in check.
When I first played Madden 2007 I saw a flaw on the punt, but it was late and didn't feel like going through hooking stuff up to record it. It was a punt that clearly bounced into the end zone and back out around the 2 yard line. The ball was placed at the 2 yard line. I looked from I don't know how many angles to see what I may have missed, but there is a flaw in tracking that ball.
The 2nd video I've seen before.
I'm not sure what the issue is because they zoomed in on the RB's name.
I'm not sure if they are saying he is not capable of making such a run or are they blaming the ability to make such fakes. Keep in mind attributes of how well DEF'r tackles come into play.
The only issue I might have with that one is the 1st spin looked like "Ghosting", but even then 2k5 ghosting issues were not as evident as a Madden 2007 2 years later to improve upon. Which in itself brings up another point. Because in Madden 2007 there is a lot of "ghosting" going on with players that really should not be tolerated for production.
Yes they 2k5 had its issues, but I still find it amazing that Madden 2007 continues with its issues.
Come on... Madden08 is JUST putting in gang tackling when a rival had it out in their 2k5 version????
2k5 isn't getting a free pass from me.
I'm looking for a game similar to their MLB, NBA series where they have carefully thought out and brought up to date the PLAYER OPTIONS: Audible Flexibility, Better Substitution (on the clock), QB Spy/Contain, Passing Route Flexibility, Playbook that doesn't waste space with plays that you can flip from another play (I Form Toss Strong, I Form Toss Weak), etc...
If they do not I will be highly disappointed.

In 2005 it was.
The DL glitch is discussed a lot in the ONLINE forum.
Check it out and you will see 2k5 players have no problem pointing out flaws.
My point was to someone comparing 2k5 with Madden07!!!!
Your yardage with Portis depends on HOW you got it, not just what week you got it in.
Again, stats don't always tell the entire picture.
I could do the same with Julius Jones depending on how I choose to play the game.
DL, 20 sacks seems like Portis probably had a lot of opportunties to run the ball because obviously the offenses weren't doing anything.
I played LB or DB.... including GL plays and I still enjoy the game today.
No manual blitzing.
No game of football is perfect and I don't expect it to be, but there is a thing called steady progress. Which I believe 2ksports has a proven history behind it.
Madden? Again, just coming out with gang tackling with no break in production of its series when their stiff competition had it in 2k5 series????

I never said Madden 08 was gonna be the greatest football game ever. Its funny though how people talked about 2k5 like it was the most perfect game. When it to had glitches.
People talk about how madden hasn't changed certain things about the game since 05. Which is true to a part. But the people who said that 07 and 06 were the same game, obviously didn't play the game all that much.
But 2k sports is guilty with doing what Madden has done too. Nba 2k7 is a great game gameplay wise, but the presentation and the franchise mode hasn't gotten any work on it and actually has lost alot of things it was had. Do you think if Live was great instead of being crap 2k would have worked on presentation? You bet your *** they would

Technically speaking that is not true.
I'm looking at the video and he DOES NOT RUN OVER ANYONE.
Running over is more like the style Jamal Lewis and I don't see this in the video.
He EVADES 3-4 people with spins and jukes.
The first guy he gets around is just a poor angle tackle which is more like a Jersey grab which just about any RB can get away from.
Your choice of description does matter. Running over is not the same as spinning and juking.
But I blame the person who was playing on defense.
It looks like he is controlling an ILB on a 3-4 or 3-2
He runs inside and the RB cuts outside.
That was the last you saw of a defense controlled player!!!! Why???
The only suspect move I see is the 1st spin that looks like a bit of "ghosting" going on.
But if this person had switched to another player closer to the play he could have stopped it. Even the run to the end zone a switch may have caught judging how fast the player closed on him without player controlled power boost.
Ao55
May 5th, 2007, 12:46 PM
He runs through the first game. Maybe he didn't run right over the d but he broke the tackle like a big back would. Then he does a nice juke. But then he brakes 2 tackles doing the spin move after each broken tackle. Not to mention theres 5 defensive players all watching him without trying to tackle
All this with Quiten Griiffen
What team does he play for now again? O yea he's out of the league

Let me state this again. My thread... my reason... is in the title and directed to that person.
Anyone who thinks 2k5 players thought 2k5 was perfect and posting on the site obviously hasn't taken the time to research. Why do you think they have this SIM vs CHEESE thing going on.
There are glitches that people SEEK with a VENGENCE every year with ANY GAME to crown themselves king of kings. They deserve just as much blame, but what can you do?
Answer: Make the games better and taking into consideration MORE SCENARIOS.
Just like the first video the geek/guru/supreme developer didn't take into account of an injury occurring during a fumble.
But on the other hand we have learned that on injuries the NFL had a say on how they could be done in the game. Jay lay there.
Hopefully, they will take that into account and the game won't get caught in loops like that.
With my video I don't know what happened because I never even hiked the ball.
Madden has always been more about arcade style enhancements.
2ksports has been more about simulation of the actual game.
See... Madden wants you to have highlights no matter how good or bad you are doing.
Thus the hitstick and big crushing hits from a stand still position. That is the thrill of arcade: play the game, but don't make it too real.
2k fans demand game play realism and I think that is the #1 priority.
Franchise is nice, but game play enhancements should always take priority.
I'll wait on the Franchise upgrades, etc...
It is not about the game being perfect, but again, Madden06, 07, 08 are installing many features already found in 2k5. Just imagine if there was a 2k6 and 2k7...
It would continue to proven now what was proven then that Madden was behind the competition.
And again, if 2k8 doesn't come out correct, meaning good product, they will hear from me in the same fashion.

Hey I'll be the first to say I wish there was a 2k6 and 2k7 because again look at how great 2k5 and madden 05 was. They were both the highpoints of the series.

Yea ok, you know a lame 2k5'er chees as hell to, people like you make you wonder sometimes in the morning should i play or not.
Now you truly lack skill and you rely on the cheapest thing you can do on defense, the dline control, now yes you can use dline whne you have a 1 cover hawking and you need pressure, but you did this in dime? it shows how scared you are of getting burned and how you suck.
Sure pound4pound(ddss) is a cheesebag but the thing i most hated is he played dime or nickel 2 man under the whole ****ing game, i mean seriously and yes man is beatable by 100 ways, but in 2k5 the players cover alot of ground and the field feels about as wide as AFL turf, heck the players are big and the field is small, so the defenders are always near by and it doesnt actually make you pay like madden, in madden you leave a spot open you gonna get cooked for some yards cause the field feels about the right size with the players size.
Anyway you played on dime and dline cuz u just suck @ 2k5, simple, i love how in madden this people with good records use quarter!! and just commit right and your gonna get what 3-5 yards instead of more because he's maknig a bad play call.
Madden needs to drop the commit cause whats all the mind games for of thinking run or pass when you can make up for guessing wrong by a flick of a stick.
And by the way i was number 5 in TD-INT ratio in NFL 2K5 online, i checked leaderboards every 2 weeks the top 1,000 and my int was number 5 until the day this game came to a close, ahh the streak pump freeze and booyah, or zipping the ball between the safety,
i got so many passes between the safety i had to squeeze by,heck the wr is with the cb so the safety is back pedalling so as soon as wr creates a step or 2 of space in front i watch safety now i see safety its a splti second decision on timing if hes gonna get there or not and booyah, i throw yes alot of times ive been hit in the air and had chest hit but ive squeezed alot and ive been picked off sometimes but mostly cause its been a big time rated safety but the pump in 2k5 is just to effective.

The 1st guy who comes into tackle over compensates and misses the tackle.
If you notice when he replays it close up Griffin does a change of direction and that is why you get the animation of the DB sliding off the left shoulder of Griffin.
The 2nd guy he just does a stutter step juke.
The 3rd and 4th guy actually collide only allowing ONE of them to attempt a tackle which is done during a spin move. Had this person switched his Defender he could have been one of these guys and tackled him
The other defenders are all just over running the play because again he changed direction.
And again if the defender had switched players from the ILB that got caught inside at the LOS he had as you 4-5 dudes to make the stop.
Four of those players were actually BLOCKED to allow him to run through them too.
My question again... is why didn't the player switch his defender???
I find that kind of odd because most of the time a player will switch to the nearest defender and if they miss you will see a missed dive or something.
I don't see any of that.
Him being out of the League doesn't prove your point by any means.
I mean the guy who had the biggest day in Super Bowl history with the Skins during Dougs Super Bowl didn't last too long either.
Larry Brown Super Bowl MVP didn't last too long either remember him?
We have to at least put in some effort and I missed that in the video.
Some things yes, we should not have to do because you can't be everywhere, but a simple "Nearest Player" feature is there for a reason and I believe unless you show a person doing this you lose ground with this case/glitch unless ran actually ran over people which he did not.

First off I just want to say to the guy who wrote a novel saying how good he was at 2k5 is that I used the dime coverage as an example. Why would I say something like even if I played a 4-3 defense i still got to the qb all the time? '
And next to the guy who's trying to find a way that the video is somewhat realistic. He should have been tackled 4 or 5 different times. Plain and simple But somehow he can break tackles like Walter Payton and can wiggle and juke like Barry Sanders. Again its Quiten Griffen who wouldn't have done nothin if it wasn't for the fact he played for the Broncos.

Oooo... the child in you is showing through.
I think every 2k player will tell you YOU have to put forth effort to make tackles too.
Again, the guy plays as ILB and then he NEVER switches over to make a tackle.
The person might as well be playing against the computer. If he switched over the tackle would have been made plain and simple.
The players have attributes that help or limit their ability.
I'd suggest you look them over, list them and we can talk about it.
But again you touch on a problem I have with using NFL players period.
Too much comparison goes on thinking the computer is going to do stuff for us all the time.
Sometimes you have to step in which this person did not. They disappeared at the LOS so yes you will have hard time gaining sympathy from me on this. If he was delivering 1-2 hits then I could relate a little more, but the fact remains he did nothing.
You have a right to your opinion about the Cowboys, Romo, and the Pro Bowl selections.
Doesn't bother me one bit, so if that is your goal it looks like you did a Romo and fumbled the snap causing you not to score.
I didn't notice you providing the team you support? Could it be "Bandwagon"?
The Pro Bowl selection process stinks all together and it doesn't stand for what it use to.
People get selected for the wrong reason and has damaged the excitement of the game.
I can't remember the last Pro Bowl game I watched to be honest with you. I know it was during the 90's.
