Previously before I thought it would be a good idea for 2k to start releasing information about the game becasue I was anxious to see what it would be like and I felt I couldn't wait. BUT
Now, I think it isn't such a bad idea for 2k to wait until July, maybe even mid July to start releasing info on the game.
Reason being, if they release all the info about the game in July it still gives them the hype they are looking for but doesn't give Madden a chance to copy them. IF Madden has a chance to copy 2k sports then the consumer will have ABSOLUTELY no reason to buy 2k sports other than the LEGENDS.
For some reason I can just feel that Madden is going to be just as boring as it has in the past years with slight improvements but boring all the same. I dont know what it is, but I can sense it for some reason. I think 2k can sense it as well and know that there game is going to blow Madden away, so why give Madden a chance to make last minute changes.
2k KEEP IT A SECRET NO INFO YET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
even though im still gonna keep checking this forum bi-daily
PLUS WE HAVE ALREADY WAITED THIS LONG, IF WAITING A LITTLE MORE MEANS THAT THIS GAME WILL BE BETTER THAN MADDEN I GUESS I CAN WAIT A LITTLE WHILE LONGER
What do you think?

even though im still gonna keep checking this forum bi-daily2K can do as they please....how will EAsports have time to copy 2K??? They would have to go into their game, change what they had, and put it in....then make hundreds of thousands of copies, send it to the MAJOR stores, and that would take a few months....I think Madden and APF are finished and just releasing info on a timed schedule....NO WAY IS ANY GAME COMPANY gonna make changes in 3-months time and release a game by the date they said....

Ok say 2k has one of tha rawest features, something that no one ever thought of that could make your whole football experience that much better.
You mean to tell me that a team of 300+ people couldnt go back and input that data into a their GAME in a months time? I dont knoe anyghing about making games but I do know that as long as you have the majority made it doesnt take mcuh to go back and add additional gameplay features into what you already have. EA could possibly even delay their release date if they felt that doing so would crush 2k. I say wait to release info
Pay attention dude, Madden is no longer the best selling ALL AROUND sports franchise 2k has defeated them in every other sport game title, and I a willing to bet that EA is willing to do ANYTHING in order to assure that they dont lose to 2k in football.
You have seen that already with all the licenses bought back in 2005, Who the hell plays arena fooball man come on.......they didnt want to give 2k sports a chance.
I would say if EA could find out 2 months in advance or 3 (as of now) what 2k has in store then EA would graciousy do all they could to copy it or downplay it with a so called "feature" of their own

EA couldn't copy anything substantial from 2k in that period of time. Software development isn't an easy task. It takes a lot of time and hard work.
In no way, shape or form would EA copy anything 2k released right now. Right now they are probably just trying to make sure they get their own features done in time for release. In addition, they also have to do Q&A testing.
Madden is planning a bunch of new features. They have their hands full with that.

This I already know....Both companies have a **** load of stuff to do before they can box up the games for shipment....I'm guessing assembly lines do the boxing up

APF is done and up for QA and so is madden. all they do now is tweaking the engine a little bit. And thats it. They wont add things now.

How long did it take you to figure that out. *Sigh* madden was going to do it if they released info. cos there cheap, madden is like the little brother of 2k and it will always be that way.

I agree with the people saying EA couldn't copy anything at this point, but you can bet you'll see them copying next year. Anyway, I don't know why 2K doesn't keep some minor info trickling in. I mean they could tell us stuff like how many teams there is and their names. We could then imagine what their stadium themes would be. I doubt EA would try to steal that idea. I just think they should be talking to us on these forums so we don't just keep making up shlt to talk about. I mean it's their forum, where the hell are they?

Why would EA care to steal anything, anyway?
EA is not scared of 2k. EA will sell millions of copies of Madden, regardless of what new features they add or don't add.
EA is not competing against 2k in football.
2k will gain nothing by hiding information from potential buyers.
