I had a dream, I had a dream!! When madden and 2k combined forces to wreck havoc on the console universe!!
Ok i think ea and 2k should just combine forces to make the best football game of all times. I dont know about the rest of you but I would like to see the gameplay and graphics of 2k mixed with the off season(drafting, free agents, stadiums, etc.) and the hype of madden.

give me you ideas on what would work if they combined the two companys?

If EA and 2K ever combined forces we would end up with at least some of Maddens gameplay. That wouldn't make us happy. And those who love Madden wouldn't be happy with some of the 2K implementations. As TP said, it would be a nightmare.

The worst problem is that it's not good for competition. The marginal cost also just gets larger and larger. More game developers with different talents won't necessarily guarantee a better game. But, overall, the main reason I'm so down about the EA contract with the NFL is that EA doesn't have any competition, and thusly won't be as good as I imagined that it could have been.

im a madden fan as well as 2k and see things a little different I guess. I see the good in both sides. even though the gameplay in 2k kicks, I also like the fact that madden is trying to get a real feel to the game. it aint working the way they planned so far but if they combined that. it would be great. also im all about getting the new draft class off of NCAA football to make the game more real.

i hate admitting this,but i have thought about this as well,i have even talked about this idea with a few friends,but then again,i did realise it would suck for gamers every where,but the idea was cool, at first though imo.

If EA did end up buying VC then I would think that EA would move all of their current football devs to something else and just letting VC work on the game.. I would hope anyway.

why would it suck for gamers, it already sucks that ea has the nfl liciense( my spelling sucks, but you all know what i mean). and ther is already football game that dont involve the nfl name. blitz the league.

If EA had that much money to buy out the NFL name, they should just buy out 2k football, keep the 2k name and help improve the gameplay and etc.

madden superstar mode in 07 has terrible slowdown and chuggs along before every single play. no excuse for that will do for the 360.
