I will get APF and wait on reviews of Madden....and most likely get NCAA when it hits cause I seem to like NCAA over Madden every year.

The WHY....Im 34 and a huge fan of the list of players they have put together and with SIGNATURE play style it should be a blast!!!!!

Already have APF 2k8 Pre-ordered. Can't wait should be a blast! Watched a show on the NFL Network the other day about the 49'ers Super Bowl victory over the Bengals and it got me excited for this game hearing "Montana to Rice" as well as watching Ronnie Lot and Roger Craig. Going to be cool getting the Legends back on the field. Hopefully someday they can get some Steeler greats to sign on as well.

Madden for me then maybe APF 2k8 after the reviews or after the super bowl or something. If I didn't get Madden how else would the Lions make the Super Bowl lol

They have not let me down enough since I've played the series to abandon them.
If I get Madden08 it will come to me free again, but I'm not sure.
Now that the Patriots have Moss. He will want to play me more now, so the likely hood of him sending a free copy has increased. :lol:

APF 2K8 DAY ONE on ZERO HOUR I'll have the game. I already pre-ordered it. 2K knows how to make a good sports game. Also I'm kinda warming up to the idea of using legends. I still wish they went with my suggestions but oh well. Madden, not getting it unless sometime around after the SB the price goes down or I can find a used copy of Madden dirt cheap. Got burned on 07 not looking to get burned anymore.

I would not be able to stand not playing with my Phins new draft pick, Theodore Ginn Jr.

I'll be getting BOTH games. I was an EA/Madden hater for several years there while 2K was reigning supreme as well as after Madden 06 dropped for the 360. That game was a glorified demo at best. But then I gave Madden 07 and NCAA 07 a shot and liked both games. I'm sure i'll like 08 as well.

I'll get APF2K8 on day 1 as well but without a franchise mode I can't say how much replay value i'm going to get out of it. I don't like dealing with the obnoxious little punks online and season/exhibition mode has little value for me. I'm buying it to check out 2K's direction, support them finiancially in hopes of an APF2K9, and play until I get bored with playing in the available modes. I'll bet any money there will be afranchise mode in next year's game, after the backlash that came out when that little tidbit was dropped. The 2K rep at that press conference looked pained at having to answer the question about franchise mode and say No. Also, i'm torn on the idea of legends. One HUGE gripe among the Madden crowd is that in franchise mode all the NFL legends get automatically placed in the free agent pool in Madden 07 and alot of us hate that.

Time will tell if I continue buying both games every year from here on out. I used to buy strictly 2K games after NFL 2K dropped on Dreamcast.

I am undecided on this issue as of right now I will rent both first and see witch one i like better. i will say that 2k8 has a slight advantage because madden has in my opinion chocked the past two years on 360.

I'd suggest giving the online play a chance with the new game.
You will always have those who can spoil the enjoyment of playing online, so play a few games by looking at their history and after a while you will have a few friends to play against.
When I logged in I use to get request from HIDDEN members.
But I never took on a game as soon as I logged in from someone I didn't know.
And if they put in a request they would have to wait until I look at their profile.
That would determine whether I would accept.

Go to the online section and you'll find some good people to play the game.

Perhaps I will. It just gets old when you're playing somebody online and they're like "That's F-ing bulls**t!" everytime they get beaten on a big play. Too many whiners and complainers who make all the pi$$y little excuses when they lose. I'd go back online against pure sim players.
