I don't think Greg Thomas' definition of "full customization" isn't the same as mine.

VIP is back, The Crib is out. Players won't progress in abilities during the season. It seems you will specify what type of offense/defense you want, and the draft will utilize the best players for what you want. There will be a certain number of legends to add to your team, and a number of "scrubs". The rest was just fluff.

Let's see some video!

THanks first time I've seen this video and then Jerry Rice video right below it. You can tell Greg Thomas in very passionate about what he does. Can-not-wait to see this game in action!!

After watching/listening to the video, i have found out what the problem is with ALL the 2K games.

COMMUNICATION

Have you just listened to that guy? He is trying to say one thing but is actually saying something else. It's like he doesn't know how to communicate. He doesn't seem to even know what he is talking about.

If everyone at visual concepts talked like that, that would explain why there are problems, so many problems. Perhaps they know and catch these problems in testing, but no one knows how to speak properly so others can easily understand what they are talking about.

One would think that he would be A LOT more polished in his speaking ability than what he is, being the president of the company and all. Wow!!! So busy trying to explain everything, at once, that he actually explains nothing.

Well said. And with so little published information none of us really know what we are so excited about.

I think we are all going with the assumption that this game will have improved gameplay over 2K5 and that alone is reason enough to be excited after 3 years of being deprived of serious innovation.

The only innovation I have seen was in last years Madden (yeah I got suckered into buying it) I got to create my own player. I put all of my accurate body dimensions in (5'9 145lbs) and the game created me as a linebacker. !!! Now thats a solid feature. I should have been a kicker with my body type. Stupid Madden.

I completely agree, and I posted something about this about a week ago. After seeing Greg Thomas doing TV interviews, I understand why the company has struggled so much of late. If he's a game developer, that's fine, but don't put him up in front of cameras and have him "hyping up" the game. Can't they hire some PR or marketing people to help polish the information being released? Also, if he's the one presenting the games and the big "unveiling" of the game takes place in what looks like someone's basement, then I wonder what kind of marketing department and advertising strategies these guys have.

Like most everyone on this forum, I'm starting to feel a little concerned about the lack of video, screen shots, or even trailers for the adoring fans. If this game is coming out in June or July, they should be wrapping things up and should be able/willing to shed some light on things to help create some buzz and to encourage pre-orders, etc.

His poor communication may not be a good thing to have for the business side of it...but not for actually developing the game. Just put someone else in front the camera.

After viewing the Interview It seems to me That Greg Thomas is very excited about the game. This is not the whole interview as you can see it has been edited into segments or cut down for this small interview trailer. There is questions being asked by the interviewer and when the segment comes in it has Greg Thomas in mid conversation already. Greg Thomas is trying to answer the questions as much as he can without giving up too much information. Notice he states we are not ready to give that detail. He also says about there is No franchised mode but there is a Season mode. The interviewer asked him a question and Greg Thomas says this is it on Mode play today. Greg Thomas seems as if he want to tell about the game but trying to be careful not to reveal the big detail of the game as of yet....

"as of yet"?? then when? if they have to hide so much, then they are playing up to our imaginations to make up for shortcomings in the game. When a game is so close to release, but dont reveal info, that means its missing alot. and the les you show, the les you have to lie about

Because they don't want to commit themselves to certain features. So they can take them out right before release date. :rotfl:

Sorry esmeet...i didn't realize you posted that already. I don't check these football threads too often because of all the whining and fighting. My bad.

He looks positively uncomfortable having to say no to the franchise mode question. He knows they f-ed up big time with that one. That problem will be corrected by next year's game GAURUNTEED.

I dont think an August release date can be considered "soo close" but ok...Dude really should not be talking on camera...He seems to fumble a lot.
