Idea 1

I'm a career guy and I would like to see a camp filled with players I have a shot at.

Why not break the camps down a little more?

Major College Camp: Impact players. Players that can come in and start right away or be major contributors from day one.

Major/Mid Major Camp: Players that might get little to no playing time at a major, but could contribute to a mid-major right away

Mid Major/Small Camp: Players that might get little to no playing time at a mid-major, but could contribute to a small college right away.

Small/Walk-on Camp: Players that might get little to no playing time at a small college, and or players trying to get a roster spot. 11th or 12th guy off the bench/Redshirt material.

Idea 2
Do away with the camps and make it AAU ball. Divide the teams up by area and let them have at. All level players mixed in, so you could have a team with one or two 5-star players and the rest of the roster filled-out with 1-4 star players.

I understand your logic. Here's another idea to throw at you. It would be nice to be able to play with your prospects at camp in your first year. You're basically recruiting guys that you don't know how they play which, in turn, could be a pretty bad 1st class. It's kind of a shot in the dark with them. Also, I like the idea of throwing in another camp because the first couple of seasons many of your targets won't get invited to one of the camps and you'll never know what their skill level is until they get on campus.

Your 2nd idea is probably the best idea that I've heard in a long time. AAU ball would be pretty sweet. It would give you a chance to look at a ton of players b/c in the camps you are only limited to the players in your camp. So if half of your target lists are in two different camps then your pretty much out of luck. The AAU circuit could be like a game within the game (if you know what I mean).

I feel you 100%!

Like you said it's a shot in the dark. The thing that I loved about 2K4 was the high school games. It was a ***** having to play those games during the season, but you could see recruits in action and know right away if they would fit your style.

It can be AAU, Camps or High Shool games, just let us see them in action.
