Alando Tucker announced as pre-season 2nd team All-American
Press Confrence
Reporter: How does it feel to be named pre-season 2nd team All-American?
Tucker: Pretty good, even though its only pre-season, but by the time the season is done, I'll be a first teamer for sure.
Reporter: How good do you think the Badgers are going to be this year?
Tucker: Well, I think we have a good chance at winning it all, as long as everyone contributes and everyone stays healthy.
Reporter: Do you think you'll be the Player Of The Year or Big Ten Player Of The Year, or both?
Tucker: I don't know, theres a lot of good players out there, like Joakim Noah & Corey Brewer from Florida, freshman all-star Greg Oden from Ohio St. so its kinda hard to say right now.
Repoter: Thank you for your time.
Tucker: No problem, see ya later and by see ya later I mean you'll probably be interviewing me later this season about something...haha

Game 1: #7 Wisconsin (0-0) vs. Mercer (0-0)
For the first couple minutes it stayed close, Mercer even lead 2 times in the game(2-0 & 4-2). But after that it was all Wisconsin. Wisconsin shot 66% from behind the arc in the first half, and lead 39-19. In the 2nd half, still all Wisconsin. Mercer shot 30% in the game & only 16% from behind the arc. The thing the Badgers will have to improve on during the season is free throw shooting, they only shot 52%. All 5 starters for Wisconsin had double scoring figures. Tucker lead the way with 24, Butch added 15, Taylor & Landry both put up 14 & Flowers finished with 10. Tucker was 1 rebound away from a double double & Taylor was 1 assist away from a double double.
Final Score
Wisconsin-89
Mercer-38
Post Game Interview with Alando Tucker & Kammron Taylor
Reporter: Overall how good do you guys think you did?
Tucker: I don't know about Kammron, but I personally think we did great.
Taylor: We did great except for free throws, we gotta make those, it really could come back to haunt us as we get deeper into the season.
Reporter: Both of you guys were 1 thing away from getting a double double, do you wish you guys could of stayed in to get achieve it?
Taylor: It really doesn't matter to me that much, just as long as the team does good & we win the game.
Tucker: OF COURSE I WISH I COULD OF STAYED IN TO GET IT!! Nah, I'm just kiddin', like Kammron said, as long as the team does good, I'm fine with what I get as of stats, unless its like 0 points, then I'll be pretty ****ed off, just kiddin'....(laughing)me gettin' 0 points, that'll never happen(laughing)
Taylor: (laughing)yeah whatever you say Doe.
Reporter: (laughing) Next up you guys have instate rival Wisconsin-Green Bay, any predictions for that?
Taylor: Not really for me, Green Bay isn't that bad of team, and this is college basketball, anything can happen, but as long as we keep our composer, I think we can win it.
Tucker: Not to sound cocky or anything, but I'm gonna say we win 75-52.
Reporter: Okay, I'll keep your word to that.
Tucker: (chuckling/laughing) okay.
Reporter: Thank you both for your time.
Taylor/Tucker: No Problem.

Game 2: #7 Wisconsin (1-0) vs. UW-Green Bay (1-0)
After the last game Alando Tucker predicted the Badgers to win 75-52. Well even though the score looks like a blow out the Badgers got a scare, after being up 28-12 with just a little bit of time left in the 1st half, UW-Green Bay went on a 9-0 run to pull with in 7 (28-21), the had a chance to come closer but missed the shot, and Wisconsin was able to knock down a buzzer beating 3 to go up 31-21 at half. At the start of the UW-GB dominated early and came with in 6 (39-33) but after that Wisconsin got going. Led by Tucker, the Badgers went on a 16-4 run and thats what sealed the deal. Kammron Taylor, Alando Tucker & Brian Butch combined for 36 of Wisconsin's 62 points. UW-Green Bay only shot 14% from behind the arc, and the Badgers improved a little bit from the charity stripe, but not all that much, only shooting 60%. Kammron Taylor came with in 1 assist of getting a double double for the 2nd game in a row. Alando Tucker finished with 12 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists & 3 steals, not one of his greatest games, but good enough for him.
Final Score
Wisconsin - 62
UW-GB - 41
Post Game Interview with Alando Tucker
Reporter: I know you got things to do, so I'm going to make this short, do you think Wisconsin Green Bay was offended by your prediction?
Tucker: I'm not really for sure on that, but it was not ment to offend them, they are a great team, and the definatly showed that tonight, and if it did offend them, I apologize for that.
Reporter: You didn't have such a great game, only 12 points, well below your usual average, how do you feel about this?
Tucker: Yeah, I didn't have such a great game, but it was good, and hey, didn't we win? I thought thats all that matters.
Reporter: Yeah, I guess thats all that matters, what did the coach say at halftime after Wisconsin Green Bay cut into your 16 point lead?
Tucker: He was kind of frustrated, but all of us were, he just told us to stick to the game plan, and stop taking stupid shots.
Reporter: Did you get nevrvous when they came with in 6 points at the begining of the 2nd half?
Tucker: I didn't get nervous, I knew we were in for a good game. They are a good team and capable of making a run like that and thats exactly what happned.
Reporter: After the came with in 6, coach Ryan called a timeout, what did he tell you guys that got you going?
Tucker: He told us to slow it down, and stop trying to keep up with them. haha, but I guess that didn't last for long we went on a 16-4 run, but after that we really slowed it down and used all 35 seconds of the shot clock, and we really stepped up our defense.
Reporter: Any predictions for your next game against Southern?
Tucker: (chuckling/laughing) no not this time.
Reporter: (chuckling/laughing) okay, thank you for your time.
Tucker: (chuckling/laughing) no problem.

Game 3: #7 Wisconsin vs. Southern
Southern got off to a great start, and lead for most of the first half. The Badgers got going a little bit towards the end, and Tucker made a 3 pointer right before the first half ended to put the Badgers up 31-24 at half. At the start of the 2nd half, Southern started out great, but the closest they got was 31-28, after that Tucker & Taylor were on a mission. Taylor & Tucker combined for a total of 36 points. Nobody for the Badgers were close to getting a double double. Southern was lead by sophmore point gaurd Damon Singleton who had 21 points. The Badgers did improve at one thing though, free throw shooting, they shot 90% from behind the line while Southern shot 44%.
Final Score
Wisconsin-75
Southern-61
Post Game Interview with Alando Tucker
Reporter: How did you feel about this game?
Tucker: It was an ok game, but I personally feel that we could've & can do a lot better then how we played today.
Reporter: What kept you guys in the game early in the first half?
Tucker: Kammron really did, he stepped up his game, he was like what, 4-5 from behind the arc in the first half, while everyone else was like 0-3.
Reporter: In the first half you guys were getting out rebouned pretty bad, what happened that changed that in the 2nd half?
Tucker: Like coach said, we had to start playing more physical, and thats exactly what we did and it shows.
Reporter: After that sloppy first half, what got you going in the 2nd half?
Tucker: Not making stupid plays, making the open shots, and not shooting 3's like we did at the begining of the first half & most importantly, we worked more as a team.
Reporter: Like last game, it seemed like you started to get going & then everyone followed, why is that?
Tucker: I'm the leader, so if I get frustrated it shows, and then they feel like they can't do it either, so instead I got together with Kammron & we gave the rest of our team a pep talk right before the 2nd half and it looks like it worked.
Reporter: Thank you for your time and good luck in your next game against Delaware St.
Tucker: No problem.

Game 4: #5 Wisconsin vs. Delaware St.
It was a close game the entire game, Delaware St. even lead 35-28 at half. The thing that probably helped the Badgers a lot, was Alando Tucker's 14 made freethrows(he shot 77%...14-18) & Delaware St. only shot 33% from behind the arc. The Badgers didn't really work as a team through out the entire game, and it showed a lot. What most people that would of been a walk in the park for the Badgers turned out to be a battle. The game wasn't decided until the last 5 seconds when Kammron Taylor drained a 3 with only 1.2 left that sealed the deal for the Badgers. Taylor finished with 15points & shot 50% behind the arc. Alando Tucker put up 25, which broke him out of his little slump of not being over 20 & Brian Butch was one rebound away from a double double. 4 of the 5 starters for Delware St. combined for 52 points, while 3 of the 5 starters for the Badgers combined for 51 points.
Final Score
Wisconsin-66
Delaware St.-63

Jay Bilas: WI-52-66-MAR
Andy Katz: WI-65-82-MAR
Greg Gumbel: WI-72-74-MAR
Clark Kellogg: WI-65-77-MAR
Everyone thinks that Wisconsin is just a bluff, and that Marquette will just roll over them with out Dominic James.
Here are some quotes
DickVitale: "Wisconsin just isn't athletic enough & talented enough to play with teams like Ohio St, Florida, UNC, Duke & even Marquette.
Jay Bilas: "Really the only weapon Wisconsin has is Alando Tucker, you shut him down & you win the game easily
Clark Kellogg: "Even though Wisconsin is more experienced, they just don't have it in them to beat a younger team like Marquette.

Game 10: #3 Wisconsin(9-0) vs. #10 Marquette (9-0)
It was a back & forth game for the whole first half. It was a farily even matched game. Marquette shot 66% in the first half to Wisconsin's 45%, but in the 2nd half that changed, Wisconsin shot 53% in the 2nd half & Marquette shot 46%. The Badgers were shooting a lot of permieter shots during the first half, but got talked to during halftime about that. The 2nd half started the same way, back & forth, then all of a sudden, the Badgers, lead by Tucker, went off and went on a 12-2 run and were up by as much as 12. But that lead slowly disappeared and Maruquette got within 7 points(65-58). They had 3 chances to bring it within 5 points, but they couldn't convert on that until it was to late. That's were they really missed Dominic James, they didn't have a go to guy in that type of situation. There was only 1 person for Wisconsin in double figures, and that was Tucker who had 20 points, 13 2nd half points. But everyone for Wisconsin scored, with the exception of 1 person. Marquette had 3 players with double figures and everyone scored but 2 people.
Final Score
Wisconsin-65
Marquette-60
Post Game Interview with Alando Tucker
Reporter: How did you guys feel after you guys seen in the newspapers, in the magazines & on tv, basically every where you guys looked, that everyone said you guys were a bluff and didn't stand a chance against the big boys?
Tucker: At first it made us a little mad, but then we decided to use it to hype us up, and we wanted to prove everyone wrong, and we did.
Reporter: Do you agree with the comments that Jay Bilas said about you?
Tucker: No not at all, I really don't agree with any of the comments made.
Reporter: What happened between the 1st half & 2nd half, did the coach say something at half time? You guys just exploded midway through the 2nd half.
Tucker: (chuckle) We got a little more physical, slowed it down a tad, and the thing that helped the most, was in our locker room it was plastered with newspaper & magazine things saying how we were a bluff & overrated, we don't know for sure who put that stuff there, but if it was to get us out of our game, it back fired.
Reporter: You finished with 20 points, 13 of them in the 2nd half.
Tucker: I was getting open more, in the first half they were double teamin' me, and I was just finding open teammates or passing it to someone else who found an open teammate.
Reporter: Honestly, do you think you can hang with teams like Ohio St, Florida, UNC, Duke, UConn, Georgetown, etc.?
Tucker: Honestly..(Reporter: Yeah.)...honestly, yeah, I do think we can, we may not have all the all stars, or the athetisism as them, but we can play with anyone in the nation.
Reporter: Do you think these post game interviews were giving you bad luck?
Tucker: (laughing) Well it sure seemed like it, didn't it.
Reporter: (laughing) Yeah I guess so...so are you ready to make another prediction for your next game against another instate opponent in Wisconsin-Milwuakee?
Tucker: Umm...sure why not, I'll probably get in trouble for this or take some heat for it, but I say...Wisconsin...65...Milwuakee...51.
Reporter: I'll remember that, thank you for your time.
Tucker: Remember it?? I just seen you write it down, why are you gonna remember it??(laughing) No problem.
Reporter: (laughing)

#2 Wisconsin (15-0) vs. Minnesota (7-7)
Suprsingly Wisconsin, who was clearly the better team, didn't dominate at all this entire game, and was fighting back from behind in most of it. It took a Michael Flowers 3 pointer to send it into overtime at 58-58. This game turned out to be a nail biter, even in overtime, it wasn't until Jameson drained a 10footer at the buzzer to give Minnesota the upset 68-67 victory over Wisconsin. It looks like Wisconsin was looking forward to the #1 Ohio State vs. #2 Wisconsin game, and it cost them a perfect season record and a perfect Big Ten record.

#3 Wisconsin (15-1) vs. #1 Ohio State (15-0)
This was the game that had been anticipated since the begining of the season, Ohio State vs. Wisconsin, and if Wisconsin wouldn't of slipped up it would of been #1 vs. #2. It was a back & forth game in the first half, the most any team was up by was 6. How Wisconsin was in it in the 1st half is beyond me, they shot 23% while Ohio St. shot 54%. But in the 2nd half it changed to basically the complete opposite. Wisconsin was losing 31-30 with seconds left but after a pick set by Butch, Tucker was able to hit the 15 foot shot, and the Badgers lead 32-31 at half. In the 2nd half it was all Wisconsin, in every single category Wisconsin dominated in the 2nd half.

I mite play the NW game tonight, if not it'll be tomorrow and hopefully tomorrow is my last day of school, but if it isn't, i'll only have to go into school for a couple classes the next couple days but i'm going to be getting a lot more time to play in a few days, so i'll probably be updating eveyday

Tucker had those 11 turnovers that didn't help any, and i think the whole team(including me) was thinkin' more about the OSU game then the game that was going on

we compltly shut down Oden in the entire game....and Connely in the 2nd half was terrible he shot like 23%....we also played an all around better game against OSU....and i've seen both of those videos before....my version for UNC Sucks is a lil different...for example...this is why your ***, this is why your ***......the only fans i have 0 respect for r the ones like in that video....ne wayz...remember when it was #1 Duke vs. #2 Texas....Texas was rollin' over every team, and Duke wasn't...EVERYONE was sayin' Texas will kill Duke...what happened??...oh yea, this happened... http://youtube.com/watch?v=rgShud8AAqI ....hm...wats a sound u hear over & over in that video, o yea, SWOOSH....ne one remember the final score??? oh yea...
#1 Duke: 97
#2 Texas: 66

hahahha man I aint no duke hater, but if the opportunity presents itself I'll bring about someting bad about a team =D.
Anyways I've played with a kid who could drain 30 footers. Best 3 point shooter I've ever seen. He's only a junior in high school, and he probably wont go to that great a college (cause hes small and too flashy), but he's amazing. He would reguarly drain 25 foot shots if teams gave him the chance. Nasty sh*t.

i woulda done the same thing if i were u.......i can make 30 foot shots, once in awhile, i can make 3's like nothin', i used to be able to make nba 3's pretty easily too, but not as easy ne more...then for awhile, i drove a lot more(durin' school @ lunch, playin' bball, used to alwyas shoot the 3, but then i started playi'n wit other ppl, nad it was always me & someone else vs. 3-4 other ppl..so i started drivin' a lot) but i got it back now....but rite now i'm workin' on my vertical, i can almost get rim

Wow, Tucker's putting up over 20ppg and he's #22 in the NCAA. In my legacy, I might have 4-6 players with 20+ ppg. Keep up the good work jj.
