10 Minute Halves
The Texas Longhorn's came in to Madison Square Garden and with all eyes on Freshman, Kevin Durant saved what could have been a loss to Alcorn St. Durant came out cold in the first half, leaving most of the offense to be directed by A.J Abrams. Allowing The Braves to take a quick 12-5 lead.
The Longhorns would claw with in three at the half and keep up the pace after the break. Kevin Durant exploded in the second half with 18 of his 26 points coming from the second half alone and helping out with rebounds, a problem that plauged the long horns the first half. With an upset out of mind for the Braves, The Longhorns came out of it looking rusty.
In other news, Texas sent out three scolarship offers over the weekend to a Rashon Noel, 6'9, Shooting Guard. Garry Waywood, 6'5" Small Foward, and a W.C Andrew, 6'5", Shooting Guard.
"We were looking for a tall center/power foward" said coach McLeod. "Other schools just got to them first and these were the guys that stood out. Were still looking though"
Tex - 53 ACS - 44
