I dont get what they mean. Do they mean pull the whole controller back, or just the tilts. And if I dont move, the computer does for me. I always get too early or too late, sum1 help me plz!

Just the joy stick. Watch the motion of the player and when he just about reaches the top of his relase is when you let go off the joy stick. Make sure to pull straight back.

Lolzor. Took me abit to get control. When you raise the difficulty tho it gets harder. So practice =P

After putting lots of time into practicing it (and no visual indication on the screen of where
I am) I gave up on it, and set it to player %.

Don't get me wrong, there is feedback, that tells you that you were too early, or too late,
but I would appreciate having one of those meters like you have on Madden/NCAA, that
let you know where you are, instead of trying to "feel out" an animation.

I have great difficulty in pulling that thing straight forward and backward. The difficulty is
so great, that I had to give up on it altogether.

I guess that if you can pull it straight, then you probably can't relate.

I found out a new way. Go to options. And then click on gameplay. Switch freethrows to stotstick ft (something like that). Then it will ask you to pul down right stick (shooting stick) Afterwards relase the right stick (shooting stick) while the player is in motion when he is about to shoot. I thought I was the one making the person move. It's actually the computer, your job is to realease the shot stick at the same time as the player does. It works for me

I love the tilt control. Makes me feel like I'm actually taking the shot. You just need to tilt the controller forward when the player reaches the furthest point in his backward motion.

This is the correct tip. Let go when the player is about to let go of the ball. (I wish I had known this a long time ago ... LOL!!!)

This is the sequence

Player: At the free throw line ...
You: Pull back on the stick ..

Player: Goes back and crouches ...
You: Continue to hold the stick back ...

Player: Goes and begins to stand up ...
You: Continue to hold the stick back ..

Player: Straightens up into his shooting form ...
You ... Continue to hold the stick back ...

Player: Almost to the point of releasing the ball ...
You: Release the stick, finally

Basically, you want to hold the stick back until the player lets go of the ball. the closer you can time letting go of the stick to when the player lets go of the ball, the better.

I was doing it soooooo jacked up before, where I was trying to pull it back to crouch, then pushing it forward, trying to follow the shooting motion....

My free throw percentage was soooo horrible!!

I'm so glad that I came back to re-read this!! Now I can nail free throws like nobody's business!!

(I just wish they had made a video with visual indicators of how to do this, as I was struggling unnecessarily, because I was trying to do more than the directions told me to do!!!)

I hope that this helps someone ... free throws are VERY EASY now!!
