Thats 1 stadium. I also think thats a tad over done. Is it cool? hell yeah, but i still think its a bit overdone. Its just my opinion. I am going to get the game regardless. Hell, i would buy it if it was just a practice field for a playing surface.

The SOUNDS...have you guys thought about the sound design that will be in this game? BOTTOMLINE...while they are over-the-top, knowing 2k and it's realisim the presentation will make us wish 'real' stadiums were like this. IT WILL BE REALISTIC. yea the beehive one appealed to me most just because if there was a real team called the bees/yellow jackets or something I can imagine anytime a team played there announcers would say welcome to the Hive.

I agree with that they were overdone but at the same time its not going to bother me while im playing a game. When i think about it it kind of makes it better. Imagine if your a real life player. Playing in an away stadium with a fricken flaming bird on the roof would put you in an atmosphere that you are not accustom too. Likewas say your the home team and your stadium is the beehive, other teams will come in there and know that this is your house.

Maybe it would have been better to give you the option of choosing an animated stadium over a animated one. Or maybe have a create the stadium option, but you cant make everyone pleased at everything in the game. Some people need to remember that it is still a videogame and its fun to have cool things like this in videogames. And plus none of you would think it would be cool if real stadiums were like this. Say if the jets had planes on the scoreboard, or the cowboys had a western theme.

And honestly, though the stadiums might bother you at first, after playing the game for hours,(assuming everyone enjoys the gameplay) are you going to say the game was good but those stadiums are just too ridiculous or are you going to say wow that is a great football game regardless of the crazy stadiums they have. hey who knows maybe you'll end up liking the stadiums after playing a few games.

It has like a FIFA feel to it...like it looks like it would be loud as hell in those stadiums. That would be kinda cool if the announcers had to raise their voice to compete with the sound inside of the stadiums. oh yeah...i like them.

The animated stadiums are a great idea. IF custom soundtracks are back, we should be able to incorporate the stadiums animations with our song or sound choice. How sweet would that be????

I like that they're animated. When you score a T.D. the mascot on the stadium is supposed to do some animation.

The only problem that I can see with the stadiums is that they won't be too believable in some cases, but also the fact that they might become distracting to the player during the game.

I think it brings a whole new element to the game. Yeah they could have given you a regular bowl shaped stadium, but hey they don't have a license, so why not try to think outside the box a little. A bird who uses it wings as the dome is some ideas that pump some new life into the game.

Personally, I like Hoolihan's Stadium AKA the Big Sombrero (Bucaneers old stadium), even though it doesn't have the gimmicky ship and was pretty plain. I'm not a big fan of gimmicks. I guess I'm just a big fan of traditional stadiums. I think the Firebird was a little over the top but hey, this is a new league, why not. They caught the vapors of today's gimmicky architecture. The only 'gimmick' ive ever liked is Kaufman Stadiums (KC Royals) waterfalls. Everything else reminds me of Universal Studios.

i can see how they might be a little over the top. but i like em. the rest of the stadiums look pretty realistic to me other than the weird rhinos, and firebirds, etc. im sure there will be some boring generic looking stadiums to choose from, so i would relax and just wait for the game to come out.

I think the stadiums are superb. Why not have crazy details in the stadium, the stadium is a big part of the team - Soldier field without those columns is just NOT soldier field. I love the design. I cannnot wait

If you want traditional stadiums, get Madden. I like these over the top stadiums. They make this game stand out ahead of every other sports game period.

I doubt it will be distracting since the play view on the field is usuually closer to 3/4 with the camera behind the line of scrimmage and pointed towards the field. You should only see the other stufff really during the replays. In the future is football remains as popular as it is, people might start making cooler stadiums like this.

i will be EXTREMELY ****ED if the custom stadium music isnt in the game especially since all pros soundtrack doesnt have cool exciting fight songs like i thought it would

Anyone ever gone to a real NFL game? Granted, the stadiums aren't so over the top, but there's so many "cheesy" camercials and other crap. For example, at the Titan's stadium, at nearly every defensive third down the screen shows a "Remember the Titan's" clip where the coach says "They don't gain another YARD!" Every freakin lull in gameplay they'd either have a Sonic camercial or they'd play this little minifilm where they'd show the tames stars "Steve "Air" McNair" "<some crap about> Drew Bennet, etc. etc. Point is, there's a TON of presentation, music, camercials, all that crap. And Madden has NOTHING but a dry anouncer...

I'd rather have slightly over the top than completely unrealistically bone dry.

I have to agree about being a bit unsure about the stadiums...will every team have a massive fiberglass version of its mascot looming above the stadium? However, for those of us worried about it, the levels of customization should allow us to create venues we can be proud of. And lets not forget whats truly important: realistic gameplay. Everything else is just details.

You remember the stadium customizations of Madden 06? Not really impressive, but still pretty cool. I see no reason why 2k8 shouldn't have AT LEAST this degree of customization. After all, if there are custom logos, colors, etc, it would be a bit lame if we were forced to play in a stadium that didn't match at all our custom team. Especially because all the stadiums we've seen so far have had giant features and mascots looming over the playing field.
