I think everything looks close to spot on. 2k does football right. A few things I noticed (that will probably be changed).

-The field surface does not look next-gen at all. It looks flat. Just like 2k5. It will probably be beefed up before the final product.

-Dan Marino has a neckroll now?

-Stadiums look fantastic!

-I wonder if they will have revos as an option for a created player?

I too am disappointed with the surface. It might be possible that a detailed surface may take away from the game (framerate)

i have yet to see this neckroll everyone is talking about.

Yea, i'm not liking the flat field either.

But, I did hear that real 3d grass screwed up the framerate. not sure if that's true or not.

Are you really going to be looking at the grass while you play?

Actually, yes. To create a realistic immersive football environment grass is a very important feature. This is a next gen game and we should expect next gen grass and textures, which I believe we will get. There is too much at stake for 2k to overlook something like that. Before kickoff, it's the first impression you get of a game.

You're right. I just hope it can be done...

Maybe these screens are from an earlier time, and 2K has the next-gen grass in the video tonight....only 51 minutes til I see the video....

I'm sure you're right. We're all hoping you are, though Why would they release inferior screenshots...Oh well. I gotta wait 4 hrs to see those videos. Damn.

Not sure why they'd release inferior screens, but I was hoping that they were from an earlier time in development....Just hope the grass is sticking up....if not, maybe the grass textures could be extremely well done....I think 2K5 had good grass textures that made the grass look and fell pretty real....Only time will tell....

I agree with the above poster. Its possible for it to be from an earlier time, but it arouses the question of why release the screenshots early? The grass textures in MLB 2k7 were outstanding, and believe it or not, Maddens grass actually does look real (for the most part). I despise almost every aspect of Madden, but they do have grass lol

Madden had useless grass....looks alone doesn't make a game good....

Out of all that, that was shown you guys harp on grass what a bunch of idiots. How bout the fluidity of the game play and the running backs. The running style of the players which blows away the madden robotic players. I think they were playing on turf and not grass which would explain it being so flat.
