Hey 2k fans,
Wow im so excited about this game i can't wait. I have a question though to my 2k fan brothers and sistas? If this game is a success and next year they get a franchise mode and more legends to sign, would u care if 2ksports get the NFL license back in 09 or 10??? To me if 2k improves on gamplay, presentation and customizing each year, i really dont care if they do get the license back. Yes we love our NFL teams, but thats in real life and even though we want them on our consoles..we still have 2k5..lol. So would u be willing to give the NFL license up? Only time will tell, but its going to be a interesting 2-3 years for football fans. So what do u think 2k fans??? LONG LIVE 2K SPORTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw the screenshots and I more excited than ever to play APF 2K8. Even if 2K Sports get the NFL license once it expires I say they should STILL make the All Pro Football series and make an NFL game to STICK IT to EA Sports.

If the game is great, it gives people an actual football option - I haven't bought Madden in years. So for me it doesn't really matter if they get the license back or not. Also, I could care less about the NFL. Last Superbowl I watched was 1999.

I agree buddy...Thats why we all should support APF2k8 even if we have our differences...We need to remmeber that this is 2k first attempt at a football game on a next gen console...If we have any beefs with this one we sholud write it up and present it for consideration in APF2k9....Having said that, it is most important that nobody here falls for EA's trickery. Time and time again stupid people get convinced by EA to buy into their hype...Be wise

I'm personnally hoping there isn't a 2k9. If the game is solidly built, there shouldn't be the need for the annual new version unless they truly come up with some new innovations. I'd rather have them spend 2 years between versions and come up with something really new instead of just tweaking things and updating the content. Outside of sport games, what other sequels come out on an annual basis? If they add more players, stadiums or other general content that is independent of the game engine, I'd be fine paying $10-$20 for a download of the data, but I'd really love to see the sport games get away from the annual deadline junk. I'm still playing on-line league games in 2k5 and though I'm ready for something new, I still haven't gotten tired of 2k5.

LOL, couldn't agree more ;) I'll be buying APF, but if it's not as good as 2K5, I'll be going back to 2K5 - I still play it every week. As for games coming out every year: it's the reason people get stuck with lemons like the MLB 2K and NHL 2K series. Years ago, these games NEVER used to come out every year, and it's the reason why there are so many bug and glitch issues with these games.

I started playing 2k5 again, but the db's sometimes stop running at full speed when covering a a route. it looks like they slow up on purpse allowing the rec. to get space and catch the ball has anyone seen this as well?

Hey I heard someone said that 2K9 wasn't going to be made due to low sales of the 2K8; sources from GI. Is this true or not?

there is another thread on this board that confirms 2K9 is going to happen.
