It's clear there is ALOT of creativity in this game, I mean hell it's a fantasy football game built from the ground up! Blitz had a hell of a shot @ that with cool teams and gimmicks, but that game sucked HARD.

Heh.. funny you should mention that. I just pulled that game out again last night to give it another try. I really like the whole artistic direction that game took. I thought the player models even looked better than the Madden guys. It had an overall gritty feel to the whole game.

I just invented another team last night and the uniforms and customization options are pretty good. So you make this tight-looking team, you pick your stadium (only 3 choices though), pick your rookie, pick your coaches, pick you veteran leader and you get this great-looking team down on the field... and then the game starts. Oiy...

Yes... I knew the game was not supposed to be a true representation of football... but geez...

You have about 24 plays to pick from (INCLUDING the kicking plays!) and the players move with such superhuman speed you can't get a sense of what is going on. I couldn't even get through the TUTORIAL last night! It was asking me to sack the QB using a "dirty hit".. OK fine... but the play was OVER in 3 seconds! So that means he dropped and passed in 1.5-2 seconds... so I was supposed to get through the OL and the 2 backs who dropped back in protection in that kind of time?

The game play is a waste of good graphics... the whole history of the league they wrote up and the whole story-line mode which I'll probably never see through to the end. I had hopes for that game... those hopes are now in APF 2k8.

I knew it was over when Kicking became a mortal combat finisher...

I can't believe they repackaged it, put Romanowski on the cover and got more suckers to buy it for the 360.

funny thing is , blitz had a couple of good things about it. the league logo and team logos were nice as hell , some of the stadiums were really nice , and the player cutscenes were tight as hell .

It was a Blitz game, what else do you expect? It's not like it was meant to be a simulation game like Madden or APF 2K8, but it was supposed to be an arcade game. I thought it was a fun game although it did start getting boring after you finished season mode.

That was my point. But the game play is totally, er... "loose"? <<<< That's me trying to be HIP.

Actually, if the players just moved a little slower it would work. But another annoying thing is I can't find my player's stats unless they make the top 5 in some catagory.

They hyped it like it was the answer to the EA/NFL deal. I fell for it.

I actually like creating my own teams or using fictional teams BETTER than using the NFL. So it was an easy sell. I'd never played any of the other Blitz games other than in the arcade years ago.
