Obviously its hard to get 5 stars to Stetson unless you won the national title and have A+ charisma and have been calling since FR year, but among the mid major and major schools?
Seems like Seton Hall is a recruiting gold mine for some reason.
Among the mid majors, I have a legacy with Hawaii and its just awful for a team in a pretty decent conference. I ended up cutting "Mr Basketball", a two star 6'5" PF from Honolulu who couldn't really do anything on offense and had an F for potential, after two seasons

at first i thought 2k hated Xavier since i was there i couldn't recruit anyone in season for like 3 years. Only brought in 2 people in season and that was just in one year. But last year i brought in a top 5 class and this year i got the #2 player overall in-season so i am looking at one of the top 3 recruiting classes this year. So now i am going to have to say Xavier is looking to be a school when you get enought credit to them to be easy.
Easiest school in 2k7 for me has been Iona though. Don't really know why

I've had good success at TCU (started with just in-state talent but now recruit around the southwest and midwest). College of Charleston (my spin-off) pulls in good players from Florida.
I'd think hawaii should focus their efforts in California. There are lots of good players there (and that strategy worked well for me in football). Go hard after a couple 4/5 star players who are most interested in you. It helps to start that targeting when they are Jr's. Contacts every week might get them to sign with you the next year. But the bulk of your early recruits should be 3 stars until you get established (at least that has worked for me. Some 3 stars recruits are still my stars despite the 5 stars playing around them).

I found it to be easy to recruit at Santa Clara in cali. There is so much talent in cali.the four years i was at SC i never was able to bring in the Mr. basketball.they always went to either UCLA or out of state.that was cool because their was penty talent to go around. At Indiana my current school i have brouht in the #3 recruiting class(Goode,Roy,Mcfarlin,NBA player B.Sanders) and the next year i brought in the # 12 recruiting class. And my last class was number two(Humphrey,Sullivan,A.sanders, and Jefferson).so,i will say both schools have been preety easy to recruit at.Or it could just be me because i have been A+ in recruiting for about 10 of my 15 seasons.

Well, for many of you guys who have been following my legacy, I guess you could say that my results are somewhat skewed. I've always thought that Morehead State brought in decent talent (especially from neighboring Tennessee), but I thought that "solid" talent was good 3 and 4 star players. Now I'm reeling in the big boys (all my recruits are atleast regional talent with only 2 players recruited nationally). I will not say that it is easy because I feel like I'm spending more time recruiting those guys than anybody else, but I'm bringing in the top talent in the nation at a small school. Since I haven't made the jump yet to a bigger conference, I'm not sure if it would be easier to recruit there. BUT if I look back on the previous history of College Hoops, it is significantly easier (b/c you have more points with the ability to recruit nationally) at a larger conference.

Basically. Any mid-major or up school is easy. Depends on your ratings as a coach and what the recruits are looking for.

The best way i found to recruit at a small conference school is to go after World players. They won't have hardly any interest in you at first, but just keep going after them the entire season. After the season is over, only you will have offered them a scholarship. Then, there interest in your school will increase dramatically. They will end up signing with your school the last week or two of the late signing period. It is so easy to get good players this way. You can easily get 5 Star recruits because no other schools recruit them if they are world players. Ocassionaly, one of your recruits will be offered by another school, and will sign with them. But, that almost never happens. I coached at Morehead State before getting a job at Kentucky, and I would always get 4 and 5 star world players. After 4 or 5 seasons, i was the preseason #1 team.

As far as my current legacy, I've had a pretty decent time recruiting at Howard. There are a lot of solid kids in the MD/DC/VA area, so I usually get 2 or 3 of them (3* at least) a year, then throw in an occasional signee from Philly or NJ (or even a World player)... There were a couple of years that my entire roster (12) hailed from either DC or Baltimore, all ranked 70 and up. But one of the main things is you gotta win. It's always easier to recruit when you have a winning program.

I agree 100%!
Some people think it's cheap but who cares.

I can't recruit at North Carolina to save my life. 5 stars are definitely out of the question. I usually end up settling for the worst of the 4 star players. Meanwhile Duke, Kansas, Florida and Kentucky get their pick of the top 20 in the country. I wonder why a top prestigeous program like UNC with a A+ scouting A+ Charisma coach like Roy Williams can't get any decent talent. Who was on the cover this year again? Oh yeah, now I remember...

Shoot, I can't recruit at St. Francis (PA) to save my life. All that talent in Philly, Pittsburgh, Jersey and NY, and I can barely get one from the town the college is located in!!

I'm currently in my 10th overall season, coaching at Morehead St. for 2 years, San Diego St. 4 years, and now in my 4th year at Kentucky. I would say the easiest to recruit at was San Diego St. being it was in California and most of the top All-Americans come from California, Arizona, and other states out west. So if I had to give advice on a team where recruiting may be easier, it would certainly be a California located college. Although, recruiting has gotten easier at Kentucky now that I have rebuilt the program, when Tubby retired he didn't leave much and there recruiting was way down (similar to real life haha).
Morehead St. being a Mid-Major was a bit difficult to recruit although my last 2 recruiting classes I managed to get 3 3-stars and a 1 4-star recruit.
