Ive seen a couple of post with negative feed back even from some 2k fans, yes most of them are 2k haters though. However here is my suggestion, take 2k5 on what ever system you have and start the game and watch the intro, then play the game. You will notice a big difference between the into and the game and thats because the video system that 2k use to make the intros gives a grainy residue in the video.

Now at first when I saw the APF vid I was disappointed in it, but I watched it on my laptop monitor. I downloaded the HD version from GT and streamed it through my 360 to see it on my TV (something you cant do with the PS3). At first I had the same disappointment but then I saw the water bouncing off a player in the rain and I said "WOW", so i looked alittle closer and started seeing some major details I missed before. Then I remembered what happened in 2k5s intro and relized this vid suffered from the same thing. Just look at some of the new stills and you will see alot more details to everything than you saw in the vid.

There is also the sound factor, which the music did a good job but it was missing the hit sounds. I had a hard time feeling the blows with out the sound. Even in the replays in 2K5 it would always make the tackle sound to give the hit more feel. So keep in mind the grainy factor and the impact sound missing before you make your judgement.

Now to what stuck out as great even from the first time i watched it and that is the animation. One thing madden did best was the slow turn, 2k to would directly turn but you slow down for it and madden would slowly arc and lean in to the turn(the harder the turn the more the lean). In this vid not only did a reciever do the arc, but he even stumbled for a second which varifies what 2k said about players messing up every once and a while. Their was also that great shot the quarterback took leaping into the inzone that caused him to spin which looked cool.

What animations really stuck out to you?

I was down on the trailer to begin with, but I looked at the sections in it that are actually zoomed out the way the game would look if you were actually playing. Check out these sections in the video and the people do not look skinny, they look just right. They only look skinny zoomed way in. Try it for yourself. Rewatch the trailer and look for sections that are zoomed out to actual playing depth.

You make a valid point.

I think I might go stream the video through my 360 and take a look at what your saying. It couldn't hurt.

The close ups streaming will show you alot more detail in the game than originally thought.

Probably, we see a lot of detail in the trailer and it's probably the worst quality trailer I've seen recently. When we get it on our consoles, in HD ... this game will look amazing.

Yeah guys! Cheer up! It's only possibly the game of the summer! It's only due to be released in little over a month after almost 3 years of being off of shelves. We've only been devoted to 2K Football since the franchise started There's absolutely no way we deserve to see a trailer. I know some people disagree, but this topic has changed my thinking. I now beleive that devotion and loyalty should never be rewarded. Us actually seeing a trailer that hasn't been viewed by thousands, nay, millions, would be selfish of us. Selfish dammit! We should all be ashamed!
