Seriously, why no version for the Wii? EA certainly isn't sitting on their hands when the Wii is concerned. The Wii is the top selling console right now, and a version for the Wii just seems to be a no-brainer. Get with it 2k. You have a lot of 2k fans that are being ignored.

Making a Wii version would require another development team since the Wii can't run PS3\360 games.

Also, sports games traditionally don't do well on Nintendo systems (the Wii may be different).

2k pulled their sports lineup from the GC after the 03 season (NFL 2k3 was the last 2k football game on the system).

This is an entirely new system with an online capability that Nintendo is actually going to use this time around. I think 2k should start clean and put out another sports game for the Wii since they're already releasing the BIGS.

The wii is a strong system selling like crazy and it's easy to make games for so I definitely foresee 2K doing something for them at some point.

my only hope is that their next system is true HD and true next gen but I doubt it.

I'm sure Nintendo's next system will be next gen, HD, and be able to play DVD's...but the other next gen systems will be playing in HD on 3D projection TV's, with 3 times the graphical power of the next gen Nintendo, and playing Blue Ray discs. Heh heh.

I wouldnt say the Wii sucks. It was just not built for muscle. It's more for finesse. Nintendo did a great job of that. They will outsell every console this generation.

The Wii definitely wasn't built for muscle, but EA's latest version of Madden isn't looking too shabby! Check out the comparison:

what he said........the wii has an just about the same graphics chip as the gamecube. No reason why 2k would hire a whole new development team. The only reason its sellign is cuz kids like it and people who dont play video game much like to play it. And to comment on the picture up there...it may look the same but it cannot handle the processes that it needs to during gameplay that the 360 or ps3 use. Basically its a kid console and cant handle next gen.

I'd say give them time. Their development cycle has been all Sony/MS for a while now. If they see a market there, I wouldn't be suprised to see a port towards christmas.

(Disclaimer: I have no basis for this in fact. Just based on behavior of other development houses.)

Yes, the 360 has more total sales since it's been released...but since the Wii has been released it has almost caught up in total sales in no time. Hence the Wii is probably selling more units on average than the XBOX 360 does. I''m sure the Wii sales will surpass 360 pretty soon.

Nobody saw the Wii's success coming. Most of the major studios are scrambling to get new development teams started on Wii projects, but that takes a lot of time. If there's an APF 2K9, it will most likely be on the Wii. If not, it's assumed the new Tecmo Bowl will be Wii exclusive.

I would say that the Wii is far more than just a kids console at this point...your entitled to your opinion though. A far as the Wii not being to handle next gen...yeah..it can't. However, a slight graphical downgrade and the Wii can play pretty much anything the next gen consoles can to a certain degree...look at Madden 08. I'm sure the Wii could easily handle a slightly downgraded APF 2K8 just like it handles Madden 08. That's all I'm asking for.
