View Full Version : AllGames is a BS EA Paid Site

Ok these guys say they are not bias. They go to the operationsports forum and start to clarify how they are not bias. etc etc
But the first thing that comes out of their mouth is.....
s far as my comments about the "gang tackling" video on the madden EA blog, I would preface it with that its better than any tackling that's been seen in Madden before. For some of you that may not mean anything, but it does show an improvement in this area. That's better than NO improvement IMO.
He talks about Madden and how a feature that was missing for the last 2 years is better than "NO improvement IMO"
This guy is praising Madden before he starts talking about APF2k8.
Can you guys see the BS here?
Another thing is...
He is negative towards the APF2k8 game.
Example 1:
To the guy that said "if they don't like over the top stadiums then i don't care what their opinion is" Are you for real? How much do over the top stadiums effect gameplay? How much of the stadium do you see when you play your games? Just thought that was a bizarre complaint about our views. I like nice looking stadiums, but that's not where I would want the developers to spend a lot of time.
Doesnt this guy know that NFL2k5 is gameplay is already great, but then he attacks the stadiums. I do not understand his negative views on this. If he actually played NFL2k5, then he knows the gameplay is great and add the stadiums..so you get a good combo....
But then he complains about it?
Can you see the bias? He is like trying to put down the game.
Example 2:
The way Madden uses cutaways to give you that in your face look of the players at the line, QB calling stuff out the things like that just aren't there. Some will say WHO CARES that's not what the GAMEPLAY is about. That's why I said what I did, if you just want solid 2K football with some polish, YOU GET THAT DELIVERED.
Comparing madden xbox with madden last year is such a big difference visual wise, that just isnt there with 2K. The player faces like the one of Jerry Rice just doesn't shine through in the game, I can't put my finger on why that is. The players do look slim and the Fridge was NOT huge in comparison, just a bit bigger.
I guess you could say, If Madden hadn't existed the last 2 years would the graphics be a letdown... well compared to 2K baseball YES. Compared to Blitz 360 NO WAY. So I guess that's another way to look at it. MLB2K7 got a real nice facelift and gameplay lift, 2KFootball didnt IMO.
He keeps comparing Madden. There is Madden again. And once again, the negative comment.
Its almost as if he is not happy to actually have 2 football games coming out after 2 years of football gaming drought.
Example 3:
He said nearly a thousand new animations in the game
I hope you enjoy 2K8 because as I said, it's not bad or not fun, it's just not a new version of 2K Football. The fact is they need to see support from the consumers to make a real effort because unlicensed football is a gamble that only the market and determine if it is worth it. We asked about the 20 dollar price and they said they thought about it but just couldn't make it work.
Once again he is using some Marketing tactics to make the regular buyers thick twice about the game.
And once again his tone is negative.
Doesnt he know that this game is already supported by the fans of 2k5? If he is actually a gamer of 2k5, then he should know this by now. that a lot of the 2k5 fans will buy this game.
Example 4:
I hope you enjoy 2K8 because as I said, it's not bad or not fun, it's just not a new version of 2K Football.
That's why I said what I did, if you just want solid 2K football with some polish, YOU GET THAT DELIVERED.
He said "i hope you" its as if he is saying im not buying this game...
2k football with some polish, wouldnt that still make it a new game? Gameplay intact, tons of animations, great lookin stadiums, better passing / defense....
But yet this guy is still negative....
Cant you guys see the bias in this? Cant you guys see he is getting paid ?
It is so obvious.

Why, because they finally put a fantasy draft back in the game after taking it out a couple years ago?

OK Kenny. Thoughtful post, but I’m going to have to disagree with a lot of that:
1. They don’t make a big deal of the gang tackling. In fact, they make it sound like it still needs a lot of work: “It does show an improvement in this area. That's better than NO improvement IMO.” That’s a fair and balanced comment.
2. They rightly wonder why all that time was spent on the APF stadiums. I had the exact same thought when I watched the APF trailer while staring at the less than acceptable graphics and player models. Fair and balanced comment IMO.
3. They say: “Comparing madden xbox with madden last year is such a big difference visual wise, that just isnt there with 2K.” From a ‘looks’ perspective (not game play, because we don’t know) I agree with their comment 100%. The leap from Madden last-gen to Madden next-gen is huge. Whereas IMO NFL 2K5 looks 2-3 times better than APF at this point. In fact, given how good NFL 2K5 looked, I’m completely baffled at how bad APF looks in comparison. As I said, I agree with their comments here: fair and balanced.
4. They said: “The fact is they need to see support from the consumers to make a real effort because unlicensed football is a gamble that only the market and determine if it is worth it.” You then commented: “Once again he is using some Marketing tactics to make the regular buyers thick twice about the game. They weren’t negative. They made it clear they weren’t saying the game wasn’t good or not fun. Their point is that the game is facing a huge uphill climb as far as finding a market goes. That’s no different than what many 2K gamers have said: the game has to blow peoples’ socks off, or it’s going to fail. From that trailer they released, I personally don’t think they have a game that’s going to blow peoples’ socks off. Given Madden next-gen looks much better AND has NFL licensing, graphic/licensing-w.hore gamers are going to buy Madden, period. This could well be the first and last game in the APF series. That’s the simple reality from a business perspective.

the game has to blow peoples’ socks off, or it’s going to fail.
It doesn't have to blow peoples socks off. The football gaming community needs an alternative football game.
People will be happy just to play anotehr football game other than Madden.
Not only that it is a realistic implementation of the game rather than the EA Arcade version.
I do not see this being the first and last series for APF
If Blitz can make it, how can APF not? APF offers MORE than what blitz does.

Blitz is in a different category. Blitz sold on shock value combined with openly arcade over the top football. 2K didn't take the trashy approach, nor the arcade approach, so getting that market is out. As much as I disagree with them, most football gamers actually believe Madden is and always will be the most realistic football game out there, so they're going to have trouble getting that market.
I hope the game does great, but I'm just happy knowing that one way or the other I'll have 2K football to play for as long as I have my 360.

He is no 2k fan...He was expecting an improvement in 2 but not Madden?....Are you telling me he didnt notice the commentary, lack of presentation, lame collision sound effects, mario-running, the skating, lack of fatiques and the glitchfest that was Madden 06 and 07????...He is very biased towards EA...I cant wait to hear the glowing praise he gives to madden next week when he plays it...It takes madden fanboys to adjust to the player models in 2k so that explains his remarks...I might actually call into their next show about madden and ask some very direct questions about madden 08...

His comments doesnt fit together.

DA... you are reading WAAAAAY too much into what he said. You are reading so much more into what he said that you've actually come to some conclusions that the reviewer DID NOT say. In other words... you're making things up.
Baandje nailed it on the head with his analysis. This guy sounds pretty fair to me.
Yes... APF has a HUGE uphill battle. I appreciate your loyalty to 2K, but you need to take your blinders off. That's exactly what Maddenites do.
Blitz sold to two different profiles: 1) people who don't care about real football and just like hitting and trash-talking and 2) guys like me who were NOT buying the new Madden releases and just hoping that the game would be better. I would still love a game like Blitz with the story and all... if it just played more realisticly.
But even still.. it hit the Bargin Bin pretty quickly. I made the mistake of buying it upon release and saw it half price a month later!

are you mental? You've gone and made up a bunch of stuff to make you feel better about your love of 2KFootball.
I love 2K baseball, I hate that they don't respond to the peoples complaints.
I cant play 2K5 anymore because I don't have an Xbox and it's not backward compatible.
You sound like a spoiled child, grow up.
If you listen to what we said you'd realize that we think a 2K football fan will love this game, but it's not going to blow people away because they only spent a year or so upgrading the 2K5 game. We expected that they were working on it little by little each year, we were wrong that was our fault for assuming. You're now wrong for assuming we're some paid of EA fanboys. You'll have the game in a few weeks and you can see that what we said was true.

agn... don't worry. Some of us have your backs. We can see you were giving us the straight and narrow on the limited time you had with the game.
I, too, had thought perhaps they had been working on it all along. Sad that's not the case. I remember when Oblivion was announced how stoked I was to learn that they had been working on that game since the release of Morrowind (about 3 years by then).

You didn't like what he said about the game that's clear. But, he said some great things. But you are so busy with a vendetta against EA and Madden you are blind to the positive things that he said. It's funny because I guess every site that has given a preview thus far are BS EA paid sites as all of them have said the same things about the graphics. Even back in May when sites were given a first look they said the animations look smooth and fluid and very well done, but the graphics were not up to next gen standards. I suppose EA paid all of them to say that.
Even if he did have a bias towards EA and Madden, there were times where he suspended that bias to tell you about this game. What that means is he does not let his bias cloud his judgment. He said the game plays like real football. He said from his perspective the pass game and defense are different/better than how other games do it. But often these comments are ignored because someone else bias is clouding their judgment. He can be biased as long as it is not clouding his judgment and here I don't see it doing that.
