(Note: This is a continued post of the original thread that was made in order to make this team, called "I have an idea that you can reject or accept." This legacy is made up of people who have legacies on this board or are going to have one, as the coaches of those legacies become players, put into the lives of a freshman at a new school in a power conference. This legacy will go on for four years, as all of the players are freshmen, and I've turned players leaving early off.)

NEWS ALERT
CAN (College Athletics Network)
April 5th, 2006

The NCAA Division I Men's Basketball association has announced that a new team will be forming from a small university in New York. Tookay Univeristy, or more commonly known as 2k University, has gathered its troops and made up a basketball team. If you can remember way back to 1938, the last time 2k had a basketball team, they finished with an NCAA-worst 3 wins. Things look to change this year, as one of the greatest coaches of all time, Dean Smith, has come to coach the Legends.
"My brother went to Tookay, and I missed the college game dearly." Although he just had his 75th birthday two months ago, it's hard to argue with the decision that the school has made. Things look bright for the Legends this year, as they have a bunch of no names from high schools all around the country who have been denied playing spots on other teams playing for them. It should be a very, very interesting season for 2k and it's fans.
Let's get to know the 2k Legends, shall we?

STARTERS

Erik Berg, Point Guard http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l181/echesonis/berg1.jpg?t=1181758215 (for some reason it's not working)
The small 5'8'' guard grew up in a middle class family in the suburbs of Seattle, Washington. He averaged 11 points a game, but with his silky smoothe passing stroke he also averaged 14 assists a game, at Seattle Prep school. He was hit hard with an ACL tear in his junior year, forcing him to sit out the year. Dean Smith was interested in his passing ability, as Erik reminded him of John Stockton. "Ice" Berg jumped at the thought of playing for the greatest coach of all time, and quickly enrolled for Tookay to walk onto the team. He earned the starting job over Jeff Knox for his true-point guard ability and defensive superiority. He tends to get very enthusiastic about the game, often fouling players a lot. Overall - 76 ; Key Stat - 91 passing
Player comparison: http://youtube.com/watch?v=nbqdxlZr4_0&mode=related&search=

Michael Gary, Shooting Guard http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l181/echesonis/michaelgaryjpg.jpg
Gary was on his way to becoming a DI power conference star before he, like Berg, tore his ACL while trying to dunk in his senior season. Mainly scouted for his amazing shooting ability, he averaged 27 points and made 70% of his threes for Woodward High School (Cincinnati) in his junior year. Dean Smith first contacted him when he saw how excellent a shooter Gary was, and knew he had to have him. He and Berg should work beautifully together, as Berg will provide Gary with some great passes to set Gary up on the outside. Gary rarely takes it to the hoop, as he much prefers to stay outside, sniping out the net. Overall - 75 ; Key Stat - 89 3pt
Player comparison: http://youtube.com/watch?v=8jOHs8***GE

Antanas Chestnut, Small Forward http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l181/echesonis/chestnutjpg.jpg
The son of Lithuanian immigrants, Chestnut was born and raised in Rochester, NY. His parents believed in education, sending him to a private school. Because of this he didn't get much attention, but he dominated the weak competition with 32 points a game and 8 rebounds a game, playing center. Although he played center, he was a true small forward, as his 6'7'' frame makes him slower than some forwards, but his good shot and excellent eye for the basket make him a threat. His coach was quoted as saying, "It's like his legs and the hoop are a magnet, because wherever the hoop is he'll charge straight at it." Dean Smith said that Chestnut had the potential to become the greatest dunker in the NCAA, reminding him of someone who he coached earlier. Chestnut doesn't just drive and score though, as he is sure to be one of the top defenders on the team, almost sure to guard the top player on an opposing team. Overall - 76 ; Key Stat - 92 dunk
Player comparison: http://youtube.com/watch?v=T27KJczK7Lg

John Caruano, Power Foward http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l181/echesonis/caruanojpg.jpg
The PF had a choice to go to either stay close to home and go to Rutgers, or go to New York City to play for the Legends. When he found that Dean Smith was going to be the coach, he immediately chose Tookay. John may not be the most coordinated fellow, but his height in high school (Henry P. Becton Regional High School) made the coaches want him to go out for basketball. The 6'10'' player can, however, play defense, averaging 7 blocks in high school. He's a sure thing from inside, but can't take it past the free throw line. He's also pretty fast for a big man, and grabs any rebound coming his way. Overall - 76 ; Key Stat - 86 blocking, 85 low post offense
Player comparison: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Y4b5n-sGFws&mode=related&search=

Mike Kazemba, Center http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l181/echesonis/kazembajpg.jpg[IMG]
Growing up a Duke Blue Devils fan in Durham, he idolized some of the greats that came and went, wishing to one day be like them. He was the most dominant force in his junior high league as a 6'4'' monster, and continued to grow until his senior year, where he averaged 17 points and 14 rebounds. Touted as too clumsy and not fast enough for Division I, he proved his doubters wrong when he joined the Legends. Kazemba, sometimes called Kazoo, isn't a great defender but is money from close. He uses his 7' frame to power over defenders in the paint, dunking it if he's ever within range. Dean Smith knew he had to have him. Despite his eliteness in the offensive paint, he has no shot from outside and is the worst free throw shooter on the team. Overall - 75 ; Key stat - 93 low offense post
http://youtube.com/watch?v=mxFnag6uQSw

BENCH

Jeff Knox, Point Guard [IMG]http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l181/echesonis/knoxjpg.jpg
Despite his size (5'6''), Knox has proven his doubters wrong ever since he started playing basketball in Knoxville, Tennessee. Scouts said his height was too much for him to overcome, even with his enormous amount of talent. Still, Dean Smith decided to give him a chance. His shooting is above average and his defense suffers from his size, but he always knows where his teammates are on the court. He can bullet a pass through any opening, and surprisingly his size and speed makes him very tough to guard. Don't think he can't shoot, as he is sure to be one of the top shooters in the Big East this year. When the game is on the line, you want this guy on the court. Knox is a determined player, always trying to reach the next level and show those who once said he couldn't do it wrong. Overall - 75 ; Key Stat - 93 speed, 86 ballhandling
Player comparison: http://youtube.com/watch?v=bt634gbnlK4

Albert Sanders, Shooting Guard http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l181/echesonis/sandersjpg.jpg
Growing up in a poor family in Newark, Sanders was known around the neighborhood as the best baller. Faced with tragedy at a young age following his parents death, he was raised by his brother. Averaging 24 points and 6 assists a game, Sanders was dubbed the next great thing to come out of New Jersey. His grades and trouble with the law however, shattered those dreams. Sanders jumped at the opportunity to start a clean slate at Tookay, with Dean Smith helping him in not only basketball but life. He isn't particularly fantastic in any one area, which makes him an even bigger threat. His potential makes him a very reliable scoring option for years to come, and also on defense. He is going to be sharing time at SG with Michael Gary. He has already taken aliking to fellow New Jersian (haha I don't know) John Capuano, as the two seem to be the clowns on the team. Overall - 75 ; Key Stat - 91 speed, A potential
Player comparison: http://youtube.com/watch?v=ae4LasPrAPc (when I think of good all around players I think of him)

Cam Summers, Small Forward http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l181/echesonis/summersjpg.jpg
(The dude I created so we could have 10 guys)
The 6'6'' SF started every game during his 4 year varsity tenure, averaging 16 points and 8 rebounds a game. Dean Smith saw something special in the kid, as he is a good all around player. He hasn't gardered much attention coming into 2k, but he looks to be a great relief for starter Antanas Chestnut.

D.J. Walker, Power Forward http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l181/echesonis/walkerjpg.jpg
Growing up in Philadelphia, Walker was a virtual unknown in his school. He reached his growth spurt in his senior year, growing from 6'2'' to 6'8'', where he remains today. He was a bench player in high school, but started to come along in his senior year as the season progressed. He eventually won MVP honors for his team with 17 points and 9 rebounds, also blocking 5 shots. Walker became more known around Philly, and caught the attention of Coach Smith. Dean saw something special in the kid despite his size, and saw that Walker's fundamentals may have been a bit rusty but he had potential. D.J. quickly joined the Legends, as he looks to back up Cuarano happily. Despite his inability to be a reliable scoring option, Walker is a defensive force. Overall - 75 ; Key Stat - 86 blocking
Player comparison: http://youtube.com/watch?v=wzXzMW27MBg

Don Nash, Center http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l181/echesonis/nashjpg.jpg?t=1181774793

As a kid, Don was always picked on for his size. He was a peculiar one, weighing less than some kids that were 10 inches shorter, but at the same time well, 10 inches taller. In high school at Kickapoo High School, he was often yelled at by his coaches for being too timid for his size, not aggressive enough. Nash changed in his senior year, leading his team to the Missouri state championship where they won, as he scored 36 points and grabbed 16 boards. This final game caught the attention of quite a few scouts (mostly small conference schools) and also Dean Smith. Smith contacted Nash, finding out that Nash was one of his biggest fans. Obviously it was an easy decision for Don. Now, the backup center looks to add some 3 point depth for a 6'10'' guy. Despite being a bit clunky on the defensive end, he can pass out of the paint and goes to work on the offensive side of the ball. Everyone is very excited to see how Nash turns out. Overall - 75 ; Key Stat - 74 3pt, 76 ballhandling

Haha yeah it's hard for me to think of players on the spot that compare with these guys. Greg Oden is a good inside player that blocks shots just like your guy. Thanks for the compliments

In-depth analysis of teams

http://images.sportsline.com/images/collegebasketball/logos/SYR.gif
1. Syracuse Orange
Coach: Jim Boeheim (726-253)
Last tournament appearance: 2006
Location: Syracuse, NY
Overall: 87
Starters:
PG - Josh Wright ~ 6'2'', Junior, 77 ovr
SG - Eric Devendorf ~ 6'4'', Sophmore, 82, 83 3pt
SF - Demetris Nichols ~ 6'8'', Senior, 87 ovr, 84 3pt
PF - Terrence Roberts ~ 6'9'', Senior, 84 overall
C - Darryl Watkins ~ 6'11'', Senior, 77 overall, 96 blocking
Incoming freshmen: SF Paul Harris (6'5'', 79 ovr, 88 dunking), SF Mike Jones (6'8'', 70 ovr)
Notes: The Big East is the Orange's to lose, and once they get going it's sure to be a blow out. Devendorf and Nichols will provide the fireworks on the scoring end with their shooting, but watch out for backup Andy Rautins, a sharpshooter and the son of Syracuse legend Leo Rautins. Watkins is one of the most underrated centers in the nation, and teams have to switch up their game plan because of him. Syracuse's patented 2-3 zone has never been better, so look for them to make a run for the championship.

http://images.sportsline.com/images/collegebasketball/logos/GTOWN.gif
2. Georgetown Hoyas
Coach: John Thompson III (110-65)
Last tourney appearance: 2006
Location: Washington D.C.
Overall: 87
Starters:
PG - Johnathan Wallace ~ 6'1'', Junior, 72 overall, 80 3pt
SG - Jessie Sapp ~ 6'3'', Sophmore, 64 ovr
SF - Jeff Green ~ 6'9'', Junior, 81 ovr
PF - Vernon Macklin ~ 6'9'', Freshman, 75 overall
C - Roy Hibbert ~ 7'2'', Junior, 87 overall
Incoming freshmen: Macklin, SF Dajuan Summers (6'8'', 69 ovr)
Notes: One of the front runners to challenge the 'Cuse, the Hoyas are led by two superstar juniors who have committed to staying their entire 4 years - bad news for the Big East. Jeff Green and Roy Hibbert are the body and soul of the team, providing everything from clutch shots to tough rebounds. Look for them to really set their goals high, maybe too high?

http://images.sportsline.com/images/collegebasketball/logos/PITT.gif
3. Pittsburgh Panthers
Coach: Pitt (don't know who the real coach is) (76-22)
Last tourney appearance: 2006
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Overall: 83
Starters:
PG - Levance Fields ~ 5'10'', Sophmore, 72 ovr
SG - Ronald Ramon ~ 6'1'', Junior, 75 ovr, 84 3pt
SF - Sam Young ~ 6'6'', Sophmore, 73 ovr
PF - Levon Kendall ~ 6'10'', Senior, 74 ovr
C - Aaron Gray ~ 7', Senior, 87 ovr
Incoming freshmen: SF Gilbert Brown (6'6'', 67 ovr)
Notes: Not many are predicting too much out of this Panther team, but we here at CAN think they can do something. When we say they, we mean Aaron Gray. He is the skeleton of the Panther's body, doing basically everything for this team. They go how he goes, and we think he goes pretty damn far. Ramon should suppress the fire thrown at Gray somewhat.

http://images.sportsline.com/images/collegebasketball/logos/CT.gif
4. Connecticut Huskies
Coach: Jim Calhoun (733-314)
Last tourney appearance: 2006
Location: Storrs, CT
Overall: 82
Starters:
PG - A.J. Price ~ 6'2'', Sophmore, 78 ovr
SG - Jerome Dyson ~ 6'3'', Freshman, 72 ovr, 86 3pt
SF - Marcus Johnson ~ 6'6'', Sophmore, 78 ovr
PF - Jeff Adrien ~ 6'7'', Sophmore, 81 ovr
C - Hasheem Thabeet ~ Freshman, 70 ovr
Incoming freshmen: Dyson, Thabeet, PF Stanley Robinson (6'9'', 74), PF Curtis Kelly (6'9'', 71), PG Doug Wiggins (6'1'', 71)
Notes: No doubt one of the youngest teams the NCAA has ever seen, the team has talent but no experience. Not a single junior or senior on the team could cause problems for Calhoun, but Marcus Johnson and Jeff Adrien look to put that doubt to shame. The Huskies will either do very well, or very poor.

http://images.sportsline.com/images/collegebasketball/logos/LOU.gif
5. Louisville Cardinals
Coach: Bobby Petrino (I think) (470-172)
Last tourney appearance: 2006
Location: Louisville, KY
Overall: 82
Starters:
PG - Brandon Jenkins ~ 6'3'', Senior, 80 ovr
SG - Jerry Smith ~ 6'1'', Freshman, 70 ovr
SF - Terrence Williams ~ 6'6'', Sophmore, 76 ovr
PF - Juan Palacios ~ 6'8'', Junior, 76 ovr
C - David Padgett ~ 6'11'', Junior, 80 ovr
Incoming freshmen: Smith, SF Earl Clark (6'8'', 73), PF Derrick Caracter (6'9'', 72)
Notes: There may be a few teams that are more talented, but they have a great coach, and look for Williams to break out this year. A good, well balanced shooting team led by PF Juan Palacios who can shoot very well for his position. Look for the Cardinals to stir some trouble in the East.

http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l181/echesonis/legendsjpg.jpg
6. 2k Legends
Notes: Look for the Legends to really surprise this year. They have the best, most well balanced team in the nation, but have to rely on 10 freshmen to lead their team. But with hall of famer Dean Smith coaching, anything is possible. They have a passer (Erik Berg), a shooter (Michael Gary), a slasher (Antanas Chestnut), a blocker (John Caruano), and an offensive force inside (Mike Kazemba), all in the starting lineup. And that's excluding all the role players who are good enough to start on the bench.

http://images.sportsline.com/images/collegebasketball/logos/DEPAUL.gif
DePaul Blue Demons
Coach: Jerry Wainwright (197-160)
Last tourney appearance: 2004
Location: Chicago, IL
Overall: 81
Starters:
PG - Draelon Burns ~ 6'4'', Junior, 79 ovr
SG - Sammy Nejia ~ 6'6'', Senior, 80 ovr
SF - Karron Clark ~ 6'6'', Junior, 75 ovr
PF - Wilson Chandler ~ 6'8'', Sophmore, 75 ovr
C - Wesley Green ~ 6'9'', Junior, 70 ovr
Incoming freshmen: None of note
Notes: The Demons are the wildcards of the big east. Experts have predicted them to finish in the top 5, while others have predicted a bottom 5 slot. DePaul still has lots of experience, but not much height. Other, taller teams in the conference could give the Demons some trouble this year. The 1-2 punch of Burns and Nejia looks to be entertaining to watch.

http://images.sportsline.com/images/collegebasketball/logos/NOVA.gif
8. Villanova Wildcats
Coach: Jay Wright (266-144)
LTA: 2006
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Overall: 81
Starters:
PG Mike Nardi - 6'2'', Senior, 76 ovr, 89 3pt
SG Scottie Reynolds - 6', Freshman, 73 ovr, 85 3pt
SF Shane Clark - 6'7'', Sophmore, 69 ovr
PF Curtis Sumpter - 6'7'', Senior, 85 ovr
C Will Sheridan - 6'8'', Senior, 73 ovr
Notes: Many predicted this team to be national championship contenders, but we here at CAN don't see them going too far. Maybe it's because Curtis Sumpter hasn't lived up to the hype, although he should be great this year. Scottie Reynolds will be one of the top players in the nation for years to come, and Mike Nardi should provide some help.

Okay quite honestly I don't feel like doing the rest of the teams so I only did the top tier of them. It's very time consuming and I'd rather just start the season.

Other players of note around the Big East:
-Lamont Hamilton (PF, St. Johns, Senior, 82 ovr)
-Jamar Nutter (SG, Seton Hall, Senior, 77 ovr)
-Eugene Harvey (PG, Seton Hall, Freshman, 76 ovr)
-Marquis Webb (SG, Rutgers, Senior, 76 ovr)
-Russell Carter (SG, Notre Dame, Senior, 76 ovr)
-Colin Falls (SG, Notre Dame, Senior, 73 ovr, 89 3pt)
-Dominic James (PG, Marquette, Sophmore, 82 ovr)
-Jerrel McNeal (SG, Marquette, Sophmore, 81 ovr)

PotY Candidates (Big East)
-Honestly, any player on 2k
-Jeff Adrien (PF UConn)
-Roy Hibbert (C GTown)
-Aaron Gray (C Pitt)
-Demetris Nichols (SF Cuse)

***BIG EAST TEAM PAGE UPDATED***

---
Legends Night (through the eyes of Coach Smith

The blue team started off well, taking a 7-2 lead early. It was clear that the silver team's superior height would be a factor in the game though. Free throw shooting was abysmal by both teams, as they missed their first 4 shots from the charity stripe. In a defensive battle for the rest of the half, the silver team gained a 23-20 lead going into half time. Both teams weren't shooting very well (45% from the field combined). Michael Gary led all scorers with 9 points, and Mike Kazemba was a monster inside also for the silver team with 6 points and 7 boards. Jeff Knox had 3 assists to lead the silver team. On the blue side, Erik Berg and Albert Sanders had 5 points apiece, with Berg leading the team with 4 assists. Don Nash answered Kazemba with 6 rebounds of his own.

In the second half the silver team really took control, taking a 51-34 lead after a Knox 3 pointer. The blue shooters were just horrible in the second half, nobody could make a shot, which concerns me. The silver team easily took the game and had a little mini celebration (which I immediately put an end to), winning 63-43.

FG%: Blue team-43%, Silver team-58%
3PT%: Blue-25%, Silver-47%
Rebounds: Blue-16, Silver-24
Turnovers: Blue-9, Silver-11
Assists: Blue-11, Silver-16
Blocks: Blue-6, Silver-1

Gary finished with 15 points for the Silver team, also adding 5 assists. Jeff Knox was on fire in the second half, finishing with 14 points and 5 assists. Kazemba was one rebound away from a double double, with 12 points nad 9 boards. Antanas Chestnut provided some flair with 9 points, and D.J. Walker was also just shy of a double double with 9 points and rebounds.

For the Blue team, Albert Sanders led all scorers in the game with 16 points. Erik Berg couldn't hit anything in the second half, ending up with 5 points and 6 assists, but also stealing it 3 times. John Caruano had 2 blocks, also addiing 6 points and 5 boards. Cam Summers had 6 points, and Don Nash had 8 with 7 rebounds.

By no means is our team perfect. We really need to improve on our inside game. Way too many missed shots in the paint for my liking. Shooting from the outside needs some help too, as the stats say it all. Offensive rebounding and tougher defense outside needs assistance as well. Still, I'm happy the way that both teams played today, and can't wait to see them in action together in 3 weeks against F. Dickerson.

-Coach Dean Smith

Note: To make it fair I played with the silver team in the first half and the blue team in the second half (notice how I got killed in the second half, which actually gives me assurance that our team is nasty good).

Fairleigh Dickinson Knights: 50
2k Legends: 75

We really came out firing on all cylinders tonight, which is what I always like to see to start the season. Michael (Gary) was in another world, leading us with 15 points in the first half. Everybody else stepped their game up as well, contributing to a comfortable 39-16 lead at the break. I told my guys not to get too comfortable.

Well they did. The Knights came out and didn't give us any pity for being a "new team" and wanted to show us what it was like to be in the NCAA. My guys panicked a little, as the lead shrunk to 9 points. But the bench players, who aren't even bench players, stepped up to put Dickinson aside. We finished the game strong which is very important to me, although we only won the half by 2 points.

Michael gets my player of the game, finishing with 21 points and 5 assists on 3-6 shooting from beyond the arc, and 6-7 from the free throw line.

Our size really dominated them, outrebounding them by 10. We only turned it over 9 times while forcing 14, and shot an acceptable 38% from three. John (Caruano) needs work on his free throw shooting, only going 1-4.

Brown Bears: 45
#13 2k Legends: 69

No mercy. That's how teach my guys how to play. Balance. That's how they should know how to play. We exhibitted both of those attributes to the fullest tonight, coming out of the gate to our fans cheering, pumping us up. We quickly gained a 16 point lead, and never looked back, leading by 21 at the break.

Again in the second half we calmed down a bit, almost losing the half. But I give credit to the Bears for keeping some of our players at bay in the second half. Fortunately that let our other stars step in. Mike Kazemba shook off his poor showing in his first game with a great performance, earning my player of the game with 17 points and 7 tough, hard fought rebounds.

Again we outrebounded the small Brown team by 10. Our big men didn't dominate like we should have though on the offensive end, as they were blocked 5 times. We need to improve our shooting as well, because our next opponent will capitalize on our mistakes. We shot a mere 4-13 from three.

Next up for us is now ranked #12 Boston College. The Eagles are a very good team, and Coach Skinner has learned a lot since I last saw him. Antanas (Chestnut) needs to play his best defensive game of his career guarding PotY candidate Jared Dudley (86 ovr). Fireworks should explode as well, with Sean Marshall (80 ovr, 78 3pt) and Tyrese Rice (77 ovr, 86 3pt) going toe to toe with our guys Michael (Gary) and Albert (Sanders). Both Albert and Michael played fantastic first games and mediocre second games, so hopefully in the 3rd game they'll play well. Rice is also injured I hear, for two weeks.

Berg: 6 points and assists, 3 steals, 27 minutes
Gary: 6 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 31 minutes
Antanas: 9 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, 29 minutes
Caruano: 16 points, 7 rebounds, 28 minutes, 28 minutes
Sanders: 1 point, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 15 minutes
Nash: 9 points, 3 rebounds, 1 block, 14 minutes
Knox: 2 points, 12 minutes
Walker: 7 rebounds, 10 minutes
Summers: 3 points, 2 rebounds, 6 minutes

My bad for the playing time of the bench, I simmed that last game and it turned out all weird. Won't happen again.

I'm excited about the first game....with Bailey and Dean's alter egos leading the scoring attack (and sanders as himself); in game 2, our scoring went down with less PT> but the team still wins. so many weapons, so little time

June 15th, 2007, 10:00 AM
Wow guys thanks for the compliments, it sure looks like this legacy es muy popular!

Yeah see the thing is, when I play I often don't utilize my big men unless my shooters are off. But this legacy has caused me to switch strategies (so big men get their points). It looks like we have so many weapons though, so when teams key in on our shooters our big guys dominate, and when they key on our big men our smaller guys dominate. We're undefeated now, but we have some tough challenges next in Boston College and Xavier.

Should I add/remove any features to the legacy (reading wise)?

Happy fathers day to all you older dudes out there =D

I'll try and get some updates up today but no guarantees. I think most of the write ups (except big games and stuff) will be much shorter, so that way I can finish the 4 seasons in a month (which I need to do because APF 2k8 comes out in a month)

#10 2k Legends @ #9 Boston College Eagles

Coming into tonight's game, we were favored against BC. Though they were slightly ranked higher than us, many predicted that we would pull out the win with our fantastic freshmen in one of the top showdowns of the season.

We couldn't have played worse in the first half. Rebounding was absolutely killing us, as the Eagles got so many offensive rebounds I thought that our entire team was made up of Jeff Knoxes (no offense). We were down at the half 46-31, with no one taking control. We didn't let them get many easy threes though, but inside they dominated us with 26 points in the paint and 12 second chance points (thanks to 7 offensive rebounds). Sean Marshall and Jared Dudley each had 11 points and 5 assists, and Michael Gary led us with 8 points.

It seemed like things would continue in the second half, as no progress was made by us. We needed a spark, so I put in Albert (Sanders) in at SF for Antanas (Chestnut), and Knox in for Erik (Berg). Knox dominated, and Sanders provided some great relief. Gary caught on fire as well, and before we knew it, it was a 2 point game with 7 minutes left. We took the lead with just under three minutes to go, following a Berg steal and Gary three. The Eagles were clearly rattled after watching their lead disintegrate, and quickly fell behind by 10. No lead is safe though, and BC scored two quick baskets to cut the lead to 76-71, and I had to put my free throw team on the floor. I sent Gary to the line, but he missed the 1 and 1! Luckily, our rock Albert was there for the offensive rebound, but he would miss it! To add more chaos, Knox stole the ball on the ensuing posession, and missed his free throw!

That put the tie in Boston College's grasp, as they cut the lead to 3 with 15 seconds left. Jeff Knox needed to make at least one of his free throws, but missed the first. I calmed him down though, and he sank the second. All was well from then on.

Experience concerned me, and our big men were way too soft tonight. I'll have to toughen them up.

The Rundown: Stats

Jared Dudley: 13 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists

Well up next we have #21 Xavier. They're 3-1 on the season, losing to Alabama a few days ago. SG Stanley Burrell (14 ppg) is leading them so far, along with SF Josh Duncan (11 ppg, 9 rpg) and PG Drew Lavender (9 ppg, 3 apg). They start a small lineupp, as Cage, Doellman, and Duncan are really all SFs.
Xavier Line-Up
PG Drew Lavender - Junior, 77 ovr
SG Stanley Burrell - Junior, 79 ovr, 82 3pt
SF Justin Cage - Senior, 75 ovr
PF Justin Doellman - Senior, 81 ovr

I think Knox may be vying for a starting job - or at least some more PT as he bailed our bacon out of the fire. can't say much for that Nash fellow, although I scored as many pts as some guys with TWICE the playing time. I guess trying to keep u guys pulled apart during practice got me in the doghouse with someone. lol. Next time maybe I'll just referee and take on the winner. ;-)

Haha no it's not dead TMAC. Like I said I moved so I rarely have wireless connection for my laptop until we get it installed. The only place in the house where I have wireless is in my dads office, which is very far away from my 360. Also, ever since we got cable installed my 360 has been acting weird. The red, white, and yellow cords aren't working I guess. When I plug them into the outlets the sound works but the video doesn't.

Anyways, because I doubt I'll be able to finish this in time I've been thinking of simming the first 3 seasons and giving detailed writeups, and then playing everyone's senior year.
