It does kind of make sense though. If this was an NFL game, then it would make financial sense. However, it is not. Most people in PAL territories would not have heard about all the stars in this game. I know I haven't.

Honestly yo, I swear living in Australasia sucks... There are so many games we didn't get released here... Looks like i'll be buying Madden, sorry 2K but I have no other choice...

No sense, sorry. More people in Australasia know about the Legends then most of the current NFL players.

They should have given us a choice, at least make the game a region free game.

i know what ur saying guys but midway release blitz the league and loads of people bought that - whats the difference between fantasy players and legends you have never heard of? I think this is a bad move for 2k - i hate basketball and ice hockey but i only buy them to support 2k in the UK - i wont be anymore :-(

Yep thats right Sunsetter, no European release at all for APF2k8 :-( only for the US. Sucks huh>? one thing i have to commend madden for is that they distribute their games all over the world...not to select countries...come on 2k do something! Make it region free or summin please!

WELL GUYS WAIT THE ASIAN VERSION MIGHT BE REGION FREE..... if there is an asian version that is but for all the 2K that have came out they've almost always released asian versions dont see why this might be different... still a sliver of hope.

That really does suck. Only if it were possible to somehow use a 360 and games from here and use it where you live. Even still 2K should release the games to other countries.

I feel really bad for you guys. To be honest I didn't know there were many fans of U.S. Football in Europe. Well there probably isnt' a ton actually.

What 2K really should do is code a PAL version, press the discs, and sell them as special orders on their website. The game may not be big enough for a EU release, but I don't see why they can't make a limited number of copies, let you guys order directly from them, and then they ship them across the pond.

you don't need to change your outlet, there are simple power-bar type devices that would allow you to do it. if i was you guys though I'd probably consider modding my xbox (because that usually takes away region restrictions) and then get the game shipped.

I can understand if they think the payback of distributing the game outside the States is negative, but AT LEAST MAKE IT REGION FREE !!!!!

Why can UbiSoft make all their games brilliantly translated and region free and 2k is not able to do it?
I really don't think is that difficult, so why should they limit their market of potential buyers?
It makes no sense. it hurts.

you know, I have a 360, I bought madden07, and after a couple of weeks I gave up, and I have keeping playing 2k5 in my modded old xbox.

IM from UK, have a look on Maplins website. Ive got a Power Stepdown converter years ago for my old US xbox. Works fine and I guess u could use for it the US 360.
Got a PS3 aswell as 360 and just preordered APF2k8 from US Ebay for £40 (PS3).

Maybe if all us PAL guys got PS3s and a copy of this game, wouldnt be so bad, at least we can play against eachother eh aswell as the US boys.

there are a lot of talk about this "next-gen" consoles and that they are region free but i never found a game that is yet

If you go to play-asia.com Ichabod7 they got loads of region free games you might find something you like...but i have already checked and it says APF2k8 won't be region free - but still we cant give up all hope!!

Well, we can live in hope that they make the game region free, it makes more financial sense for 2k to do this, as loads more people from around the world would actually import the game (myself being one of them) without them having to go to the expense of making a PAL version.

And I do have it on good authority that Microsoft don't stipulate whether a game has to be region-free or not... it is the developers choice!

So come on 2k, make the damn thing region-free... it wouldn't hurt you to do so!
