Manhunt 2 banned in UK...and now US is giving it an AO rating.

Thats adult only.

So take-two decided to suspend the release and think of what they will do.

Why is this company always getting in trouble?

Why can't they focus on promoting their 2ksports games instead of releasing games that get them in trouble?

These guys seem to be really stupid and want trouble.

Kinda like the GTA problem, and they still havent learned.

Its a controversy that hurts sales.

Its a stupid decision for a company to create ultra violent videogames. The politicians will just focus on it because of the stuff that has been happening with the shootings.

This news isn't good at all for the company. Do you know what an AO rating means? It means that the game can't be played on either the XBOX 360 or PS3 because both MS and Sony don't allow AO games to be licensed and played on their system. Now TT has to go back and spend a bunch of money and time to try and get that game down to an M rating.

This is not good at all.

Best games does not necesarily mean ultra violent games.

There are tons of games out there that doesnt have ultra violence and they are fun to play.

Take Two just need to be more creative instead of relying on an easy way out such as creating "shocking" games.

I think its high time people stop seeing videogames as just GAMES..It is a very viable source of entertainment and even EDU-tainment for many adults now...There are "games" or "SIMS" out there that could teach you how to fly planes...Isnt there a company now that is going to use games to assist QB's lean formations and execute plays?...The Army even utilizes videogame technology to teach and simulate combat situations...

In summary, I dont think Take 2 is making any bad decisions, it is the hypocracy and the oppinions of a few powerful (stupid) people that have made this into an issue...I mean the things you can find on the internet could harm children far more than Manhunt 2...Like someone mentioned, it comes down to parenting...

Its very childish of Microsoft and Sony to not allow AO rated material on their consoles...They do know that most gamers these days are adults right?...Not many kids have a need for a blu ray play in a system...

It is our society that is stupid...and weak....we can start a war with a country that hadn't attacked us and was under two thirds of a no-fly zone, resulting in the deaths of HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of their citizens, but a game like Manhunt 2 gets the dreaded 'adults only' rating...which in of itself should not be a problem, but YOU SEE, an adults only rating is actually pretty much a ban, since Sony won't let it out for their sytem and most retailers woon't carry it...

I agree. Look what happened with GTA. There was a big controversy when Vice City was released, too. San Andreas had the big 'Hot Coffee' scandel. These controversies did nothing but help the sales of the GTA franchise.

sometimes our country puzzles me with double standards, its ok to have a nc-17 movie in the theaters where a 13 year old can fake a license and see all types of horrible things, but when a AO game is issued out, it has to be banned because of the same reason,ironically with the ESRB getting their rating system from MAAP. Plain and simple, if parents buy thier pre-teen a AO game, then maybe those parents should not have kids in the first place........

I feel sorry for all of them, but not very much for Chris...I mean, it isn't like he is some low grade failure like me who thinks of offing himself on a daily basis...he was Chris Benoit!!!!....go get yourself a new lady if the one you got was steppin' out on you...I don't know that was the reason for his insanity, but in most cases, that is the only thing that would cause a man to do something like this.
