Yes... if there are a 1000 more of them it's actually quite mind-boggling. I'm still seeing new animations in 2k5.

I'm playing my new Broncos franchise and earlier I traded Trever Pryce and some draft picks or something for Jason Taylor. I'm playing the Raiders... Collins hikes the ball and I'm able to spin off of the RT with Taylor... Collins, a right-handed QB sees me and starts to roll left... I have a clear shot at him... but I dive too soon!!!... or so I thought! Jason was able to reach out during his dive and grab Kerry's right foot which causes him to go tumbling and rolling to the ground with JT.

I really don't remember seeing that particular tackle (maybe because I don't get many sacks...).

Anyway... my point is: I'm sure 2k8 will amaze me even more.

Oh... and all of you conspiracy theorists I've seen posting lately... go back to the 9/11 - JFK- Roswell sites where you belong.

Thanks 88. (So what does twsn88 mean anyway? I just call you "twins".)

I forgot to mention another little cool detail. At the precise moment when Collins knows he's screwed, you can see him go from the typical QB football hold to tucking the ball in to avoid a fumble when his eating of the turf becomes an inevitability.

Beautiful stuff...

Makes me wish my Xbox 1 was still working. I wish they would fix the 2k5 360 problem.

We don't really have a breakdown of what they mean by 1000 new animations.
If 1 represents Payton's scissor kick in full then we are in for a treat.
If 1 represents each frame of the scissor kick, which would probably contain 30 - 60 frames then not as big a treat as we hope. You only have to take away all of the animations used on specific legends special moves and you might only end up with 100 new animations used elsewhere in the game.

Don't forget the previews that have been written where most of them (if not all) have said it runs and plays like 2k5, nothing really stood out, aside from saying the game is animated well...but also saying that 2k5 animated well too. Even if only 100 new animations were seen by the people who've played it so far they sure haven't made a point of saying that. Which leads me to believe that 80% of the new animations are used on the Legends special moves.

Actually several reviews have said that the tackling animations have gotten an upgrade and the catching animations are the best to date.

True, I guess we wont really know until we see some videos, play the demo or the full game.
