Remember NFL Primetime still used the Madden engine for all of their simulations and run through's even when 2K4,2K5 had the deal with them.

They never respected the 2K property.

I could care less that they are over at EA right now.

who cares what ESPN thinks... they're a cheeseball sports show. So far.... 2K has done the best job with the ESPN license.

dang... NFL network sounds coo... too bad gaming has touched the licensing market. I wish they could just make any thing they want like the old days.

ESPN is a station, not a show, and I would`care because 2K5 did an awesome job with ESPN.

Chris Berman ripped on ESPN himself a couple of years ago.

Good point. Who cares when the presentation in 2K5 was so good? That's all that matters.

Who cares about ESPN, I posted on another thread about 2k making up their own network.
Call it APFN - All Pro football network or similar, do the presentation how they want, no ties to anyone that way. Can really go OTT with the presentation. Just an idea.

Well, just thought they could go to town and make up a presenter, have down on the field reporters. Have a halftime. post game show. Post game interviews. Sky is the limit with your very own 'made up' network. APFN, you heard it here first.
Maybe 2k9 eh.

They actually did that with the "Sega Sports Network" until they got the deal with ESPN. I'm sure it will be the same as the Network they use for their basketball and baseball games.

Do you think they could implement something like that again then?

ESPN should be ticked about how EA hasn't fully taken advantange of their oppurtunity to really do the amazing things that 2K was well on its way to doing. EA just slaps the ESPN bottom line onto the bottom of the screen, with no pre or post game stuff and that's it. It will be great to see EA squirming at the end of that contract.

from what i heard on a thread on here by someone, EA cant use the ESPN license like that because they have the NFL exclusive license, meaning that they have the NFL network, which is not friends with ESPN, real stupid right? of course!

If that was true, EA would use ESPN fully on their other games. The real reason that ESPN isn't on the games is because EA is too lazy to put it in, and ESPN doesn't care because they are raking in the dough.

damn... i didn't know it is a station... thanks for letting me know that... and BTW - it's still a cheeseball sports station. They overhype EVERYTHING!!! Every single moment is the BEST EVER... CLUTCH!!!!! oh my god!!! did you see that!!!! wow!!!!! now lets get all emotional over this moment and look at this persons life as if they're part of the NBC olympic coverage.

So yeah.... ESPN is one HUGE cheeseball station.

That's why I love HD DVR.... fast forward through the BS like no otha and just watch the actual sporting event.
