I have been reading most of the threads and i have to say a few things. 2k have not had a football game since NFL 2k5. Now, this game by far is still better the current next Gen. versions that are being sold by EA. With that said. Enough is enough. I know that any can get frustrated and eager to see more pictures or new videos ( game play ). I know this would give most of you faith and the comfortable feeling APF2k8 is going to come out. Now keep in mind that 2k knows what they are doing. They have prove this over time. From what we know about the game play, presentation and graphics. It's working off the 2k5 engine and it's been improved from that. From that and the other info they gave us. This is more than enough for a great football game. Yes, I would like a franchise mode. Yes, i would like a lower purchase price. I feel so strongly that you will be pleasantly surprised and happy with this game. So stop complaining and be patient. Patients is a virtue. :)

We will be 'pleasantly surprised'? Um, this game isn't coming out on a Friday by chance, is it?
Well, nice you feel that way and all. But the fact remains its an online game for people who don't care too much for offline features. If that's what makes you happy, great. Too bad for us offline gamers though.

If you mean the "patients is a virtue" part, she must be a doctor or a chiropracter or something.

As you can see by all the threads that people have run out of patients. I don't know if they don't want to over hype it or it just don't want EA to see what they have in store for the people buying it. I just want July 16th to hurry up and get here already.

Only the doctors and chiropracters among us...

Easy solution to that problem. And the time will FLY by! Just head on down to your local meat shop and ask if you can sit in their freezer for three weeks. Just don't forget to remind them to open the door and thaw you out on the 16th!

I did that for Halo 2. Worked, but my fingers couldn't grasp the controller for a week. Plus my nuts fell off from the cold, which is why I type in such a high voice.

wbrnc, you are absolutely right but, man, it is very difficult to stay patient for something that most of us have been craving for a few years now. It's like as if someone mailed you a million dollar check on Monday and it is going to arrive on Friday. You know that you are going get that check in the mail but, you just can't wait to get it. So, in between those days, you're going back and forth checking that mailbox just in case that check arrives alittle early. That's how some of us are right now with the videos and media, the advertising and marketing. The only thing we can do right now is wait and try to keep busy until they release some info to us--The Brothers of 2K. By the way, I like your Avatar. That's what it's about, it's all about him. What does wbrnc mean?

Are we anticipating a football game or raising a child here? Patience? Understanding? No offense, but the thing that bothers me is that they've shown their fans virtually nothing. Okay- but what's worse, they've showed people who are on the fence virtually nothing... and people who normally don't care and just want a good game...they've shown NOTHING..
And we are three weeks out from release.
This is bush-league marketing at its worst. I love 2K's games, but can they honestly say they are doing all they can to help promote this game and make it a success? Heck no.
And remember folks, future versions depend on this one selling, and 2K is in its usual non-NBA basketball game "No Marketing" mode.
They need to GET ON IT. And I mean get on it FAST and get on it YESTERDAY.
Us hardcores are one thing- games don't survive on hardcore purchases alone. But what can you say that 2K has shown the casual football gamer that makes them say "Yeah, I'll try this?"
Zero.
And that's not good if we don't want this to be the last 2K football game made.
