Dan Cloutier was steady in net posting hes 1st shutout for the season. In other hand the Flames didnt generate much chance to beat Cloutier.
Brent Sopel had 2 points with 1 goal and 1 assist. Rucinksy, Naslund, Sanderson and Henrik Sedin potted the other goal for the Canucks
May to play first game vs Oilers. "Brad May will switch with Mike Keane on the Lw", Crawford said. Also Hedberg will start vs the Oilers.
Marc Crawford is allowing all the players to have a chance to play early this season.

"He was out of position then i just the puck and went it" said Oates on his 3rd goal. On the other hand, Hedberg first game as a Canucks didnt go well. He allowed 4 goals in 26 shots. "I was pretty nervous tonight" Hedberg said. Naslund, Jovanovski and D.Sedin scored for the Canucks.

"I didnt know he was coming until he hit me" Bertuzzi said. The goal scorer for the Jackets were Shelly, Letowski and Marchment. The Canucks were Jovanovski, Rucinsky and the tying goal Morrison.

The Canucks were sloppy in defence for the first and second period, but Cloutier bail the team out. The Canucks scored early goals by Naslund and Cooke to take a 2-0 lead. In second Mcarty and Chubarov trade goals. The Canucks went in to the 3rd period with a 3-1 lead. But Cloutier could not stop all the close range shot.
Shanahan tied the game with 10 minutes left in the game. The game went to OT, and it Ot Lidstrom cought the puck and Naslund buried it between the legs of Hasek.

Bad News- Martin Rucinsky got hurt when he tried to hit Chelios. "He will be out for 2-4 months" said the Team Doctor

Brendan Morrison and Ed Jovanovski told the story, Morrison got a Hat trick and Jovanovski had 2 goals. Andrew Brunette scored the first goal for the Wild in second and few minutes later Chouinard score in a nifty backhand and fool Cloutier. After that it was the Canucks turn. Two of the Morrison's goal came in a 3-2, the last one was emty netter. Jovanovski goal was both a onetimer goal setup by partner Sami Salo.

Roenick scored the first goal. He jam the puck in. Then minutes later Jovanovksi tie the game with a wrist shot past Burke. Todd Bertuzzi made it 2-1 with a shorthanded breakaway. Kapanen tied the game in the powerlay with 5 minutes left in first. Second period was scoreless and in third Jovanovski giveaway send Amonte all alone to beat Johan Hedberg.

Markus Naslund scored first minute of the game. He scored in a backhand onetimer. Berard on the other hand scored a goal, he caught Cloutier not position. Mattias Ohlund scores with a long shot that fool Felix Potvin. Brian Rolston then made it 2-2 with a nice pass by Mike Knuble, he scored in a one timer. Ruutu scored when Felix Potvin was swimming in the ice. Magnus Arvedson added a late goal to secure a win.

Jose Theodore help his team win against a good offensive team. He stop 35 shots out of 37. Saku Koivu and Zednik gave Montreal a 2-0 lead but two quick goals by Canucks tied the game up. With less than a 5 minutes Alex Kovalev rip a slap shot pass Cloutier glove side, that was Kovalev 12th goal of the season.

Markus Naslund opened the scoring with a backhand that hit the post and in. After the face off Fluery went coast to coast and beat Hedberg blocker side. In second period Todd Bertuzzi gave the Canucks the lead. Jason King added one for the Canucks late in the second period. Mark Bell scored a late goal with 3 minutes left in the game.
