Yes I know they're in the game, but has there been any word of how many new lines of commentary they've recorded? Obviously all the player names....but correct me if I'm wrong I didn't hear any new lines in the gamespot videos. Small sample, but still...

The exact number... I don't know but the gamespot article said they had a lot of new lines...

Hopefully its in game stuff and not just pre game/post game commentary....that could equal "a lot of new lines..." guess we'll see.

"One of the best things we experienced with the game wasn't what we saw but what we heard: namely the voices of Dan Stevens and Peter O'Keefe, the excellent broadcast duo that has been the voice of the 2K football series since it's inception on the Dreamcast. The two sound as great as always and have brought a ton of new dialogue to their virtual broadcasts"
Yeah I hope so too... cause after a few times of hearing "You can't coach that".... UGH!!.... but that beats Madden's radio announcer

''You Can't Coach that'' is a classic line, but i noticed the same thing about the repeat in some of the lines.

As tired as I get of that line, I have played the game for well over a thousand hours and I still hear things I have never heard before from time to time.
But yes, I do get tired of "You can't coach that!" What a great interception- you can't coach that! What a terrific juke- you can't coach that! A fantastic catch- you can't coach that!
Football players everywhere have to be wondering, just why have we been going to practice all these years?

Yes....it beats the Madden announcer....not by much, but it does. That line should be erased forever!
Hell listening to Yanni beats Maddens radio announcer. LOL

Considering that a lot of the commentary in 2K5 mentioned the NFL I am sure that there were a lot of recording od new stuff. Come on 2K does not slack on nothing.

That comment right there could open up the "no franchise" floodgate ya know?

No it won't, there can't be a franchise mode because there's no nfl license etc......

Would you want a franchise on a legends game really.
What age to start them at, what age they retire, and once all the legends retire what point is there? I like it the way it is.
Back to the topic, i'm glad the announcers are back and "You can't coach that!" is classic.

Personally, I wish they gave the option to use all no-name players for Franchise mode and then legends for Season, etc....

As far as announcers and audio lines go... I may be crazy, but I swear I can hear the voice of Cole Train from Gears of War as one of the guys in the vids saying "Am I too hot for you, baby?!"

Did you know Cole's voice is done by the same guy that does Bender on Futurama? Anyways, still looking for a new IN GAME Dan and Peter line. Everything new other than names has been pre/post game. That would be weak. Even the commentary in the rain with the pick is straight from 2k5. I'm not hating, just hoping. It would really make presentation suffer to hear the same lines we're used to. Anyone finds something, lets hear it. For some reason I'm really concerned with this!

If every other thing that happens out on the gridiron is uncoachable. Then that would mean that at most a coach can have a 50% impact on the out come of the game.
