It seems to be alot of football fans on this board. And i was just thinking back to when i played football in highschool, hopefully in college next year when i start. So i just wanted to know everyones football past, and experience. I want to see who really knows about football and what position they played.

About Me:
Jamario L. Perry
High School Football 01-04
Defensive End
Known for speed so i played on 3rd and long and 4th and long for the Pass Rush. I prefer the LB position, but i didn't have enough knowledge to play that position. But during practice i would play that position whenever the opportunity presented itself, and i would blitz like no one would ever saw. But during game time, i was on the line 3rd long, 4th long going after that QB. And of course i play alot of street ball.

Youth Football League
Jay Espinal
2nd String Running back/Receiver/Corner back/Returner

I was a skinny short player with a lot of speed and sticky hands. I played every down and every game. Ran for about 4 TDs, passed for 1 TD, had 7 interceptions, 1 Return TD, and 3 Receiving TDs in an 8 game season. I was usually ran on plays to the outside such as sweeps and halfback passes. Sadly, we lost in the playoffs on a last second mistake by me...instead of letting a ball get pass me, I tried to one hand it. I caught it but got my legs tooken out and the ball left my hand into mid air and fell into my opponents hands....

Sadly, this was only a Youth Football League, lol.

Good stuff! That hurts losing that game that way, you never played after youth league? I wish i played when i was that young, but i was too busy with baseball.
My team sucked until our last season, my senior year. We would have made it to the State playoffs, but towards the end of the season we found out we had 2 players 1month older than the required age to play so we had to forfeit every game we won that year and play the last 2 games of the season with out them. It sucked, we was going to the States for the first time, we would've gotten our ***** whupped but we would have made it. We even had to give our rival back the trophy we won during our rival game, that really hurt because we earned that trophy.

Now aged 36.
Played here in the UK when I was 17, started up again and ripe old age of 31. Played middle LB , good inside run stopper. Now retired and happy watching my team at weekends and easy desk job during the week.. Closest I get to playing now is in the park with my 2 sons and creating myself in video games;)

That's wuz up man. Now i got a LB in the house. I love that position, too bad my coaches didn't think i would make a good LB. I know when i got to college if i play, i will be a FB with my height and size, i can't imagine playing anything else.

Any other players out there?

In the youth league I played Offensive Tackle and Defensive end. My last year of youth league I switched between those two positions and Full Back.

High School :
Freshman Year : Defensive End (2nd String) - we played against Eli Manning that year.
Sophmore Year : Defensive End (Starter)
Junior : Mainly Strongside Line Backer. But came down to DE at times in the game depending on what scheme we were running. But mainly Strongside LB.
Senior : I mainly played DE because the guy who played it while I played LB tore his ACL in the Spring Game. We didn't have anyone else who could do it effectively.
However, I became the starting TE that year. My favorite position. I caught a 43 yard TD towards the end of the season. However, in our first game that year, I dropped a wide open 50-something yard TD!!! I still hear it to this day!! But the next series on defense I stripped the QB of the ball and recovered it. So I somewhat made up for it. But that still sucked. But my 43 yard TD later on that year was actually the longest passing TD of the year (our passing offense wasn't too good).

I also played every single Special Team. So my Senior year I never came off the field except on Spread-Offense because that obviously doesn't consist of a TE.

I do plan on coaching when I get out of college. I don't play in college because I hear that it's a whole other life. I kind of regret it. But I don't know. A trainer for the team (he also trained professional athletes) told me that if I worked on my speed I could have gone out for a Safety position because I was little too small to play DE or anything else really. Which was also a big reason I didn't go out for college.

You had a great football career...and you played Eli? That reminds me...my High School team played Ted Ginn Jr. from (Ohio State...can't remember what team drafted him this year in the NFL). Back in High School Ted Ginn was QB and DB, he played both sides. As the QB he ranned like Vick alot. But you had a great career playing sports, i wish i started young like yall. And i feel you on that college decision, that's whats hard for me because of my size and height i can't play an effective position. I have to either get faster, lose weight and play safety or get bigger and play FB.

^^^ Yep. Exactly. And I didn't know if the work and dedication would be worth it to just have a chance at starting. Especially working towards a position that I never played. The only reason I wouldn't have minded doing it is because it would have kept me in shape. But I don't know. I made my decision and that's it.

i played reciver and was on all special teams i played against mcnabb in a passing league game and man was he really good.(understatement) i played semi-pro for seven years, some were in there getting to the last round of cuts to my college as a walk on. i was the steve tasker of my league. i lead the team in special team tackles and we made nationals twice. i got tired of being a little fish and found a smaller pond, i went to a rival team that was not as tallented after some of my freinds retired i was a starter on offence and was on all special teams again, broke my shoulder socket trying to block a LB when my qb took off(he was a rb in college) we were playing the defending national champs who were just over .500 that year and we were down 28 to 0 in the first quarter, as every body was standing in a circle around me it was so quiet that i could hear that people saying "oh thats not good" and "he is done" but the worst part of going into shock is that i could see through all the trainers to my parrents in the stands and my dad had to make my mother look away. that really sucked because it was an hour away from my house and i took a pill that the other teams trainer gave me and my mom had to drive me home, and my girl freind dumped me over the phone on the way home... i was so dooped up that i didnt care. oh well i went out a starter after years of being the slot guy in a run heavy offence.

Played at Point Loma High in San Diego. won CIF championship at Qualcomm stadium, it was jack murphy then. Played DE. JJ Stokes was on my team when I was a freshman, and when we won CIF i was a junior and La'Roi Glover played nose tackle for our number one D. I was recruited by 22 colleges, but decided to play baseball at a small local college where a mix of politics and bad luck ended my run.

Well, thats that. So now I create my alter ego and put him on the D Line and yeah, I often am controlling him at the snap, which makes some sim ballers think I'm sorry. Meh.
