This is nice to know after my other one crapped out 3 weeks ago, and i was stuck with no warranty.

Lucky for me i bought one at walmart, went home switched out the S/N's and got me a newer headset and controller. Then i returned the old one for a full refund. Nothing like screwing over 5 of the forbes top ten richest in the world. :)

walmart will even accept your merchindice without recept, but i don't have a recept im worried, i just brought it a month ago.

WTF Walmart will take stuff w/o a receipt? If so I may just trade this in for an Elite whenever the new chip comes out

Trick is, you have to buy another one. Then you have a receipt. You have to swap out S/N's. You can even keep the new controller and headset as a result of suffering.

Because if you have a ghetto walmart like i do, they only check the S/N on the system. Which means they dont want to check like 10 different items S/N. Ive done it twice, and it worked both times.

I am not saying go do it. But i called microsoft last time, and it was a 1 and a half phone call. I also didnt get shipping for free.

I dont know bout you all, but Im not going to sit around and let some company stick it to me, and not be 100% liable for a 400 + product.

Its really not screwing walmart ( Who care if it does anyways ) cause all they do is send the faulty one back to microsoft.

PS. Dont send back your hardrive with the bad one. Then you will be busted, bigger than balls.

yes, cause if you dont, theyll see all of your info, and see that you really didnt "Just buy the 360". Also i believe they probably wont match up.

I would just switch out the system and return the bad one. If your controller sucks, you might as well switch that out, for pain and suffering you received.

this **** don't help people like me at ****ing all!....my xbox wasn't flashing 3 stop signs on my console..it was scratching my gotdamn games, leaving rings around them and then on top of that...they don't even refund us for the games it damaged....im too ****ed with microsoft right now....next generation...my ***

I had a lot of problems with my XBOX and MS last generation and haven't gotten a 360, despite several games I really want.

The best way to make a console maker listen is with your wallet. If you aren't happy, stop buying their products.

this was my first xbox dude..im not even a fan of it im strickly sony..but even for them i wasn't shelling out 700 bux excluding tax and game cost out my pocket...but i should have...i ****ed myself royaly for going with them...but i wanted a system i could afford at teh tiem which i thought was reliable so i took a chance..silly me tho...and trust me i know how to talk like a consumer...with money...i just took a chance and it blew up in my face...**** microsoft
