2K Sports should add the dog pile to the game. There's a fumble and the players jump on to try to recover the ball. There should be some factors on who gets the ball.

1) How many players on each team are in the pile
2) How strong each player is
3) Who gets to the ball first
4) If 2 from separate teams both get control of the ball then both players should have to tap the "A" button. Depending on the strength of each player and how fast the user taps the button that player shall get the ball. This of course is all going on as the refs try to separate the pile.

Just a thought. I think it'd be pretty awesome. I also posted this at MaddenMania so if you see it over there I posted it there too...

Yeah, that would certainly add to the realism and presentation.

I'd like to see that and the option to manually pick a fumble or fall on it.

Exactly! Just like in the real game if they want to scoop it up they better do it on time or else. And they better be in position to fall on the ball or else.

I don't think that will be in this edition though, but 2k9 would be a nice edition in the game.
I'd like to see manual handoffs or at least manual toss plays.
Imagine someone having that great QB/RB combo, but didn't spend time practicing the fundamentals of handing off the ball.
It might be just an extra button tap like when you pass, but you have to turn the joystick in the direction of the run. This would simulate what happens in real life as well where the QB and RB aren't on the same page. It will make running more of an effort besides just spinning off people and stiff arming.

I always thought you could either fall on the ball or try to run with it...at least in Madden, you can "fall" on it by diving on the ball, or attempting to anyway...running "over" the ball will make your guy try to pick it up and run.
