Well, if you look at it this way, it is like if you have a well thought good team with very little flaws, then chances are you will win.

I don't automatically think I will win, I mean, I might have an advantage over those n00bs who choose Rice and Montana or no defensive players.

That was directed at you incase you missed it. *sigh* I was trying to point out that maybe people thinking out there teams will give them an edge. Just because you might be good, if you go out there with a bunch of waste picks, you will lose, even if they arent as good as you if they thought out there team well.

Thats why on the first day of release if there is some sort of drop glitch it will be used by alot of morons. They cannot and will not believe that THEIR team is going to lose. Sad but true:(

Because I've seen way too many post where if a person beats the bragger they will comeback with "That was your first win against me in how many attempts???" or something to downplay it. But a second ago they were bragging.

Im surprised this doesn't worry anyone else. Do you guys realize that if the D-line glitch and Corner lob are back in this game, that its ruined and all this talk about who is going to pick who makes no difference? Not to mention drop glitches...

Im remaining very hopeful, but I am also very concerned about it, especially since a lot of people have asked the devs about these problems and they won't answer them directly.

I'm sorry, but this post is wrong in so many ways. There is no draft feature in the game...you have to use generic players, and there is a limit on created players around 10. Also, you creating players wouldnt put them on other peoples consoles.

Nothing to brag about. The others you have to deal with during a game and takes away actual gameplay. You get people who claim they are this great skilled video game player only because they choose to manipulate the AI weakness of the game.

But like you said, I'm looking for a direct answer.
It would be nice to know before the game is released.
The QB Spy can be done in a simple clip....
- Show one play where the QB gets off a successful run.
- Show the play following that where the QB tries to run, but the defense is using QB Spy to prevent it.

It is nice to have all of these styles and abilities, but all of them need to be defendable in order to maintain balance in the game.


I'll say this again. I don't mind the gold/silver/bronze thing, but just because a player is generic with no star doesn't mean he can't make plays, tackles, etc...

So it will be interesting to see how they balance that off.
A Barry Sanders was tackled by tacklers who never made the Pro Bowl and not every Pro Bowler was able to tackle a Barry Sanders.

Otherwise we might as well toss out the playbook because it won't matter.
You just go to your gold guy and he will catch in double/triple coverage.

Before I jump online I'm going to see how this game treats these issues.

Good post, I agree with all of it and share your exact same concerns. I tried to play some 2k5 online last night and it was a festival of glitches. I mean, it was completely unplayable online. It really ratcheted back my excitement for this game. But at the same time, if those glitches were fixed, tthan this is probably going to be my favorite sports game of all-time.

I started to come online and see if anything has changed, but decided to get one more franchise season going instead.

It was fun because I played my rookies, new free agents, and backups during preseason to see what they can do. Now the real season begins.

I plan to login one of these days to play an online game just so I can have a solid memory of things to compare to 2k8 online.

Fixing the gameplay glitches would also be a boost to leagues because they won't have to worry about micro-managing these issues.
