I am 27 and been playing it since Dreamcast and was amazed at how fun it was back then and how ahead of its time it was . 2K5 to me was the best game ever made because I spent so many hours and when I got on Xbox live that made it even greater. When EA did that deal , I felt like I didnt care to play videogames no more because no other game compares to it. The funny thing is that now that I am getting older , I hardly enjoy videogames but 2kfootball will play until I am 60. I only own 1 game and that's GOW but APF2K8 will be my next adventure and look forward to playing againts you guys online.

33, and played 2k1-5. i remember the silly "dreacas" ladder you had to sign up for on the web browser. back then the only "high speed" gaming going on was SEGA NET! if you didnt have sega net the game could be rediculously choppy. i even remember playing 3-1 games vs some of the players, even beating the #1 multiplayer team named "ROMP CREW" with a couple of my friends. good to know those days arent gone forever...LONG LIVE THE KING!!!

Hey....I'm 30 years old. I've been playing the 2K series since the Dreamcast days back in 1999. I still have the system and was playing NFL 2K1 and 2K2 last week. I recently played 2K5 with 2006-2007 rosters. In this area, we have a group that gets together and compete in 2K5 using updated rosters. We chip in to pay a person to monitor league changes and manage the roster to make it fair. The person we hired to do it uses the Finn's Editor to do so.

im almost 21, and i wasn't a big fan of 2k5, honestly I hated it, the first ones i did enjoy, exept for the play choosing schemes. I know i will absolutely love this game, because im a big football/sports fanatic and very good at anylizing teams and players. Ive always been a madden fan, mainly because it was madden, i mean who could beat madded, well madden has sucked the last what 3-5 years, it just hasnt been the same. So i say boycott madden till they get their act together. Who is with me? lol even though im probably going to buy all 3 football games, already have NCAA and APF preorder, so hell why not get madden, cuz ive seen previews and im sorry it just looks like it sucks balls, gameplay and graphics. and sorry for you PS3 owners who will have your crappy 30 fps. so sad

I have seen the beginning to the end. I remember when George Washington led his troops into battle. I remember witnessing the cold war between USA and Soviet Union. Even though the times have changed I see the power of good will alway prevail. Now I am in present form and I played all versions of 2k football and will be playing the current if time continue on for me....

Been playing 2k since Dreamcast. I remember my boy telling me he was getting a dreamcast and buying 2kfootball.
I said "why you getting that for? Madden on Sega is all you need." Back then I didn't know of the concept of console shelf life.
But as soon as I played NFL 2k at his house, I was hooked. With the ball wobbling when a poor QB threw the ball, the commentary was the best.
I've been playing video football games ever since the first John Madden. I even remember the green cardboard box it came in.

Started with
the original NFL 2K
-for those who actually got down and aint just name droppin' remember Moss and Carter was unstoppable, and that Cunningham was a beast.
-Deion Sanders was no joke with the Cowboys
-Some our last looks at John Elway in that Broncose uniform
NFL 2K1
-Dunn and Marshall Faulk were huge assets to have....lol...This game was based on speed.
NFL 2K2
NFL 2K3
-This was when football was beginning to become "real" and when I say "real" I mean arm tackles and not just players throwing their bodies at you. You had animations that were so realistic that you'd almost never see the same on twice...
NFL 2K4
-This marked the growth of 2kfootball because they had gotten it right.
-The RB's were a little too strong but it wasnt too much of a problem (espcially since I played with R. Williams that year....lol)
NFL 2K5
-Classic....Nuff said.
I hated seeing the license go and Im still not sure about APF but it was nice remiscing.
oh yeah and Im 22.

19, NFL 2K on dreamcast. Utterly amazing game. I played my next door neighbor every weekend. My Jets were great w/ vinny martin keyshawn. Vikes were beast w/ Smith Cunningham, Carter Moss. NFL 2K1 was awesome too. Santana moss rooie year w/ the jets I threw him th eball all day in franchise. I didnt play nfl 2k2 b/c back then my parents made me save money to buy my own games :( . NFL 2k4 I didnt play too much b/c madden 04 was my fav madden ever n I was too busy exporting players from ncaa 04 n putting them in my jets franchise n me and my friends would export franchise teams n match them up(so much fun). nfl 2k5 was actually a present the first day it came out from my aunt. 2k5 was excellence

2007 march or so I hear that 2K is going to bring out a new football game I was like cool cuz i loved their Nba 2K series on the original xbox and was wanting to get it for the 360
WHEN I LOOKED AT THE FORUMS PEOPLE WERE STILL TALKING ABOUT 2K 5 LIKE IT WAS THE GREATEST FOOTBALL I WAS LIKE wa wa wHAT DID YOU SAYyyyyyyyiii.
I just had it with madden 360 so i was like what the hell get it off ebay mad cheap still got my xbox
PUT THAT GAME iN and ..................HOOOOOOOOLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY **** been playing it like a MADMAN with my boy. We just couldn't figure why they would not allow us to play for the cpu team in FRANChise mode other that we didn't have any game killing complaints....
ME and my MAdden fanboy friend have finally conceded that everybody was right and that was(check that) IS the greatest football game OF ALL TIME TO THIS DAY. I never thought I could get into a 3 year old game.
All pro Football will be getting the **** played out of it. And if we need an NFL or FRANCHISE FIX we'll be playing ESPN NFL 2K"8". Once I get an action replay and can get some new roster updates. WOOOOOOOOO. couldn't be happier.
JUST WISH I could find some leagues that were still active

42. Yes, and my colon still works, also.
Been playing 2k football games since 2k3 (I didn't get a PS2 until Madden 03 came out). I wasn't impressed because it was different. I decided to give 2k a chance with 2k5. I was hooked. After that, anything EA put out for football left me wanting more. I wasn't satisfied after that. EA's annual football releases were just roster updates with some crappy feature thrown in that no one ever used. I did play and enjoy '04 but that was the last one I liked. I've gotten Madden every year since because my wife buys it for my birthday every year. (Aug16) Each one has brought disappointment. I know 2k is going to deliver a great football title this year......They just have to!!! I'm sick of Madden and NCAA.

Yeah, I remember those days. It seems like you had to have a mobile QB to do anything. Also, I remember the first night going online winning and losing games like 6-3. 3-0 and 9-6. No one knew that you had to manually control the WR to catch the ball. That first night was frustrating. No one could catch and all you could do was run.

I am personally a Gameday man myself ;) (for those of you that don't know Gameday was Sony’s NFL franchise) No but seriously I am actually a madden man myself except I've been crushingly disappointed since the jump to next gen, (05 was where it was at). However the reason I am so enamored with this game (ie APF2k8) is the chance to build a team of NFL legends (dammit why isn't LT in the game, the original LT!) and hopefully a have a more fluid football experience.

I'm 39 in two weeks (yes and I'm still playing videogames), I played all previous 2k football game... I buyed a dreamcast because I try nfk 2k in a game shop in Vicenza (Italy) and i have to modify it to be able to play that game because Sega made only ntsc version of that game... I played all the version also on xbox, and now I have a xbox 360 and maybe I can't play apf 2k8 because they will not make the game available in Europe... But I hope next year baseball and football games (by 2k sports) will be available also here in Italy... I doon't like easports games, I tried many of their previous games (madden, nba live, nascar, nhl, tiger woods, ecc.) but when I played easports game i didn't enjoyed myself...

26 and been a fan from the first day it was out for dreamcast. Actually that is how i got my dreamcast was at college they were having a tournament and whoever won got a dreamcast and NFL 2K, and NBA. Plus 2 other games of choice. I took my Bengals all the way (only team i play with) and crushed everyone. Dillion was a beast in that game with the stiff arm. Those were the good old days with the one play the bengals had where it was trips to the right and everyone went long and Dillion would do a swing route.
Other than that i have only played pretty much 2K games for sports (except for College football since 2K really didn't make one and the 2K3 wasn't that great, but still thought it was fun to play with).

I am 28 and I couldn't put it any better than that....In fact, its gonna cost me about $500 to play this game....so figure out what I gotta do...

I am 27 years old and have been playing video games since the tender age of 4. I started playing 2k football the day it dropped on Dreamcast back in 1999. I bought every edition since then and remember trying to defend the early stage of play calling. People didn't like the way you rotated with the analog stick but if you remember all you had to do to hide your play was to hold down A and move to another play.
2K1 brought a lot more innovasion and 2K4 re-wrote the book on presentation. 2K5 is a legend in itself and APF 2K8 looks to continue the legacy. I own 360 with a couple of games but the last game I bought was GOW and I bought that on release date.
APF will be my next title and I plan on putting in lots of hours. 2K5 is still played by me to this date. Come test me.

I have been playing 2k Football since day one...I am old enough to use either Troy Aikman or Roger Staubach with equal realistic efficiency.....and to throw to either Jay Novacek, Drew Pearson, or Billy Joe Dupree with deadly results.....my only regret is that I can't have Aikman, E Smith, and Randy White all on the same team....and

Twenty-three years old. Dricas' finest since the original NFL 2K for Sega's Dreamcast (61-0-0--legitimately)! Would've kept the streak alive too, had my Dreamcast not burned out. My nickname was Da Blanket, 'cause I suffocated opposing defenses.

32 here. Been playin since the original - NFL 2K.
Hooked ever since. What impressed me the most was that every year seemed to be an upgrade. Never had a problem throwin down some money for a 2k sports game, especially football.
I still can't believe how excited I am about 2k8. See you guys online.
