On the Gamespot feature the guy said a Demo would be released this week. But why do you think it's Wednsday or Thursday.. I don't know about you guys but I'm going to be checking *everyday* next week!!

They told us that the demo would be released during the week of the game's release. So any day from this tuesday on is game. So Wednesday or Thursday makes good sense.

Furthermore, that article says "Demos EXPECTED". Expected means that they expect a demo to come out. It's not an official word from 2K on the matter

the week of release, not a week before release. a week starts on monday. if it was coming out on Tuesday, or any time this week, then they would have said 'within a week of release' and not 'during the week of release'

I took it that within the week of release, the demo will be available. So to me, that means from this Tuesday (July. 10th) on, the demo will be released somewhere in between. I think Wednesday or Thursday would be ideal because it's E3 and it will give people ample time to check it out. Nearly a week before release is an ideal time to get the demo out.

you do realise that people buy games after they are released, too? Numerous demos have come out after release in the past. Again, they didn't say "within" they said "of".

That said, it is quite likely that it will come out earlier than what they said, during E3.

All I know is that as a die hard Bulls fan, I remembered when Jordaned retired and how sad of a day it was. When I heard he was coming back a few year down the road....the feeling was surreal as I just couldnt believe it... waiting for this game is kinda like that. Waiting for soooo long and its about hear now.

People don't get your hopes up.

Hopefully they will release it this week, but I don't necessarily think that will happen. Let's keep in mind that the main purpose of a demo is not to give those who are going to get the game a chance to play a watered down version of it early. The point of a demo is to advertise the game to people who are on the fence about the game or who were not even aware of the game.

Because of that, I feel releasing a demo right around when they release the game is very reasonable.

Let's all be patient...because I know if the demo doesn't drop by Friday there will be 30 threads on the main board saying, "Where's the demo?"

Actually things get put on Live Monday-Friday (and sometimes Saturdays). Wednesdays are simply when Xbox Live Arcade games get put up.
