yea last years was 30 fps , 60 fps makes everything sooo smooth if u have the 360 try the ncaa demo and test it out and see how it is.

Last year's madden and ncaa were running at 30fps. Yes, the PS3 version of all-pro football is only running at 30fps, whilst the 360 version is running at 60fps.
Despite 60fps being 'faster', the difference between the two isn't particularly noticeable.

uhhh a game at below 24fps won't be enjoyable to anyone. It would be like playing a slideshow of images - i.e. unplayable. Basically, the human eye has trouble discerning a difference in frame rate above 24fps, and as long as it's 30fps (fixed), there won't be much of a difference between 30fps and 60fps.

here's a good example of the difference side-by-side:

there is no directly noticeable difference. if you were to look at the games side by side yeah you'd see the difference. But from playing one then the other you'd have to try pretty hard to discern the difference.

I thinkur kidding ur self. Having both myself I think your only saying this b/c u havent played it. 60 fps makes 08 worlds above 07 its noticeable when i juke react everything. Its so obvious. Like i always say, look at nba live n look at nba 2k7, or now look at ncaa football

Why pay $600 for a console that games run at 30 FPS when you can get one at $300 than runs games at 60 FPS?

How many reviews have you read which said if the game was 60 frames as oppossed to 30 it would be awesome. games have tanked b/c of 30 frames but it is a barely noticeable difference? Im guessing ur a PS3 owner

That was last gen. Games last gen running at 30 was no big deal. Next gen is another story.N one game not tanking at 30 does make there no differnce betwen 60 n 30

Oh , Im sorry, 30fps on one of the highest rated games ever..was good enough back then. Do you look back at it now and think, ****, that looks crap at 30fps??? doubt it as u couldnt tell what FPS it was running in unless you have a counter on the screen or someone tells you. Have you seen APF running on the PS3?

Before this thread degenerates any further. Are the 2 versions locked at 60fps and 30fps?

Im not saying it didnt matter back then, I said it matters more next gen. I havent seen APF in person but I own both NCAA 07 n NCAA 08. These two r the prime examples of what FPS can do to a game. Im not some clown bragging b/c 360 has it. When madden n ncaa released last year one of the first things i pointed to for this year was frames to increase responsiveness and keep it fluid. Wait for the reviews I bet anything that s one of the first thing every reviewer says.

Your an idiot...if you have a PS3 or are going to be playing football at 30fps fine, but dont post such nonsense. When you post such nonsense you lose all credibilty.

I think a little bit of placebo goes into it. I have played ncaa 07 extensively and now the 08 demo. Yes, it's smoother. However, it's not that noticeable. Let's not forget that 07 is also smoother than 06 (as they perfect animations, rather than the frame rate)

I'm not much for noticing things (I still can't figure out why people like HD when it isn't that much better at all), but 60 FPS is a noticeable difference. I've played the NCAA demo, and it is better to play in 60 FPS than 30, because the game runs more smoothly.

ive been playing madden and ncaa and 2k titles for quite sometime, and i saw a difference between the two but wow 60fps made the demo run alot faster when i did play that it made me wonder even more how fast and good all pro will be...hey clutch you rolling out of here come the 16th or 17th?

If you like watching slideshows then 1 FPS is right for you...just imagine Oblivion on the highest settings possible on a really crappy computer.

When Halo 3 drops at 60 fps, then yeah I'm pretty sure everybody is going to look back and think it looks like crap.

Halo 3 , well done bright spark..u missed the point. Halo was 30fps. No complaints even if it was last gen. I sure hope those 60fps are locked, because when a load of **** happens on screen and it drops to 40 or 50fps, youll be whining that its jerking & chugging. Anyway fella, Ive got a 360 aswell so makes no difference to me re Halo 3. Everyones wound up about the 60fps, but you couldnt tell the difference between 40, 50, 60fps if it was locked, its only when it drops you notice the framerate. As I said, Id rather a smooth 30 , rather than a jumpy 60.

The reason they had to pull it from 60 on the PS3 is because it would have been jumpy. So the fact that they are keeping it at 60 on the 360 likely means it's because they could make it so that it wouldn't lag when more stuff was happening, it seems to me.
