I'm mad that I can't comment on his non-proofread article. I want to know what makes the plays LIMITED? Uhm, I'm pretty sure Madden is limited as well.

Usually I look at articles and see how they are not really biased. But, that article is blatantly so. ARCADE, ARCADE, he called the most realistic football game on the market arcade style!

2K tels me they have the most realistic AI ever built and that they slaved over it for over a year to make it better than Madden.
2K never lied to me....ALL they did was innovate and make a better game than EA year in and year out.
That, guys, was a fan boy.

That blog could have been written by anyone who read the original press release for the game back in January or whatever and then just made some junk up on the fly. There's not enough meat in that to indicate to me he actually even saw the game in motion, let alone actually played it. I call wanker. ;)

Who's buying anything? Personally, after playing The Bigs, I am less positive about APF. The Bigs has such a cartoon presentation that I would rather not take my chances without renting or demo(ing) first.

Obviously Madden is out of the question, but I am not going to pay $60 for something I haven't even played the demo for or rented... That's all

I'll be renting first. It's 2K after all - the glitchy, freeze-issue game company.

So what's the issue here? Why you really suddenly concerned about the game play? Be specific.

Come on, the reversal is irony, and irony is comedy. What could be funnier than a Madden fanboy writing about how arcady 2K is compared to the sim style play of Madden? It reverses our expectations because it goes completey opposite of everything we know to be true. That, my friends is irony, and that kind of irony makes for comic gold.

Umm, The Bigs is made to look cartoony. If you can't get that through your head, you need to start reading reviews. I don't meen assuming either, actually read them. Then you will know the Bigs is the toned down Slugfest that's pretty cool to play.

The Bigs is made to look acadeish, it is an arcade type game. APF has very vibrant color scheme and makes it look more like a "video game"(god forbid the game actually looks like a video game). But the gameplay and realism of the play calling schemes that actually work when they are supposed to can not be touched by any other football game, yet.

But The Bigs was always meant to be an arcade baseball game. It was always intended to leave the simulation part to 2K's MLB franchise.

We've seen nothing yet in the All Pro vids that show this as an arcade game. Sure, the arenas are unreal, and a bit over the top, but when it comes to the play on the field, everything looks like it's a proper simulation.

I'll take care of this azshole!! Lying like that is a full day in time out and a beating!!!

Let me illustrate some of the obvious BS bias in this "article"..."Create your own team by choosing from 240 legends in the game -- including OJ Simpson and William "The Refrigerator" Perry." Ok, Out of the 240 legends, if you were to pick two while explaining to somebody the quality of the legends in this game would these be the ones? Hell no!

"All-Pro doesn't have the same sophistication players will find in Madden -- plays are limited, the athletes look more cartoony than realistic, and of course, it's missing the official NFL teams and roster -- but we can still see the arcade-style game appeal to the more casual player who want to see their favorite football greats hit the field one more time..."

This guy is either a Karl Rove type hitman for EA or is so in love with madden he can't do his job.. If it is his job I hope someone fires his arse!!

I'll let him know who's in Charge!!!!!

:D

I think it's blatant that this was intentionally slanted against the game just by the two players he points out of the all time greats like i said before.

First, OJ, while a great back in his day this c*cksucker :box: knows that alot of people hate OJ and this may turn them against the game alone...

Second, The Fridge, seriously! The Fridge is ok but he's a bronze player in the game for a reason.

If anyone who wasn't trying to turn opinion against the game were to pick two guys in the game to mention in the article let's try some common examples of what someone who doesn't give rusty trombones in their spare time might say....

Joe Montana and Jerry Rice or Johnny Unitas and Barry Sanders or Walter Payton and Ronnie Lott

Quick note, this article p*ssed me off so much I was going to send an email to the website and ask them to take down this obviously non-objective article with links to other real journalists reviews so they could see how off-base this guy is "Libe Goad" is his name, maybe that's why he's so bitter..... anyway this idiot is the managing editor of the site, which by looking at the contact us page he's at the top of the list.

so it looks futile......

People....gamedaily.com is AOL. AOL sucks, I mean gamespot IMO is the only legit site, them and IGN. Plus it doesnt matter what others say, we know how good APF will be. The videos prove it.

Less realistic player models than madden?

http://www.2ksports.com/forums/showthread.php?t=125925

Looking at that picture I guess I've just got a different idea of what "realistic" means than that reviewer. Madden is a friggin cartoon, where as APF, just like NBA 2K is trying to make players look as real as possible.

How can that one article scare you when almost all the others are positive? That's not even a trusted gaming site. Besides, we have all seen the vids and I don't see anything arcadey about it.

numbnuts....do you realize taht the bigs is suposed to be an arcade "blitz" style like baseball game. That is the point. Im done talking to you or commenting on your unintelligent posts. You are by far the most gullable person. You are going to take what this guys (who cant even spell correctly in his own article) word over IGN and Gamespot, who have said its pure sim....get a grip on reality and stop being a cry baby.
