July 2K Sports Forum Tournament - Discussion Thread

This thread should only be be for posts about the tournament only. That and scheduling. No other threads will be made, so make use of this one.

Prize - This month, we will have a prize for the winner of it all. Only one prize...only one champion. That prize will be the bragging rights as the best on the forums and 1600 MS Points. (I will send the winner the MS Point code through an email, which they will give to me after they win.)

Date - July 27th - July 29th. If we can get this all done within one weekend, look forward to more tournaments in the future.

The name on the left is the players name on the 2k Forums and the names on the right are the gamertags of that person.

Rules -

No Draft Required.

Just Play Realistically...that is all I have to say about gameplay rules.

You must stick with one team.

Created players are allowed. (Only ONE)




Bracket 1 - This is the Bracket where EVERYONE starts off. Some players have to play more than others, if you don't like that, please leave now. Also, if you lose one game, you will be put in Bracket 2. The winner of Bracket 1 will face the winner of Bracket 2

Bracket 2 - Bracket 2 is for the players that lose a match. I will set up the schedule for Bracket 2 once the first round is completed (the first set of matches). If you lose at ALL in Bracket 2, you will be eliminated. Winner of Bracket 2 will face the winner of Bracket 1.

I like that team a lot. But it seems you might have trouble stopping the run and protecting your backfield.. But Hotsuma, I really like that team. Secondary is the best I have seen. Literally.

Yeah. I know, as a team guru (lol, jk), that I will change my team after a few days. I don't think I will need a QB. I mean, I don't even depend on the pass.

Yeah...i think spending a bronze pick on a QB is ok though. But i do think teams will evolve some, like if we find out generic Oline is beastly, i can drop my 2 oline picks lol

oline picks are worthless.. i played with the Bills in nfl2k5.. they had pretty much one of the worst lines in the game... so i think a generic line would be a upgrade

Now, i am convinced it was a scam to have people sign up over there. Oh well, i am sure i am sure there will be other tournaments around here.

There will be a Tournament I will run, which won't be for a couple months from now. It will be similar to those annual tournaments they used to run with 2K5 and such. There will be a large prize at the end of it. Even if 2K does run one of those annual tournaments like they have done in previous years, it will be a nice little addition as well.
