Just wondering, with the demise of nfl europa, what is the opinion of american football overseas? Is there a following, or look like one may be growing as it's always great to have more great international athletes joining the league as has happened in the NBA?
Or do you believe that our football will always be nothing compared to your football like the opposite is true here?(that is unless Beckham amazingly starts some sort of revolution like L.A. and MLS hopes)
I know there will be a nfl game in london this season and more to come in following seasons in different international cities like mexico city last year, what's the buzz on it for those of you in england?
Also i'm asking all but the last question to everyone not just the UK :D

In New Zealand football can refer to Soccer, Rugby or Gridiron depending on who you talk to.
For me, I know there is a pretty large following for the NFL here. I know 10 people at my work place that follow it. It does not have as large a following as Rugby (being the national sport) but it is big, especially the superbowl....alot of people who don't follow the season watch the superbowl.
I am gutted to not be able to play APF so I'm stuck with Madden again.

no option to buy for PS3? or don't want to spend the money on it?(buying ps3 that is) Also i'm curious, Why don't you guys get your 360s shipped from the U.S. that way you can play whatever? or does that mean you can't buy games locally and play them on the U.S. 360?

The following in Brazil is growing, but most of them are dumb****s.
ESPN International was not affiliated to ESPN Brasil until 2006. In fact, the Superbowl XL was the last one with the old crew. They broadcast from Bristol, conn(?) and they really knew their football. And their baseball. And basketball, hockey. Oh, and the real football (yours soccer!) they were experts on it. After all, they are brazilian. :)
But, when ESPN Brasil took over the programming in 2006 and they were all fired, people with absolutely NO experience in football took over the SNF and MNF broadcast. I remember seeing them say Pass Interference, Holding, Fumble in the same play. Oh, the ball touched the ground and fell to a receiver in the endzone. The guy screamed TD!!!!!!! That was it for me.
I got a new dish and got the nfl season pass without announcers. Good, not great, but way better than poor ESPN. I tried to watch two more games in the playoffs, but couldnt stand them.
All the other american sports are dead for me too. :/
I'm getting APF for PS3 btw, should work worldwide.

PS3 is $1100 in New Zealand.
Convert that to US dollars as it is now we pay a lot more then you do.
There is also the problem of support, and power conversion. Sure we can purchase step down transformers as we run 240Volt at our powerpoints.
With regards to support, for little things we would have to send the console back to the online store we bought it from if they wanted to see the fault. For the red rings obviously we can just send it to Microsoft.
If I owned a PS3 I would be happy, but i chose to go with the 360 for their online options. I've tested both and in MY OPINION 360 was better suited to me.
I could update my firmware on my DVD drive to allow for imported games to be played but I run the risk of another xbox live update banning me (just like the spring update did to all those other firmware mods).
