ok lets talk re-play value.

1. you cannot play any team except your created team, you cannot play your created team verse another one of your created teams. when in a game you can go to controller select and you are still not able to control any team but yours (stupid) rating F

2.one user in a season, no muti, no nothing, you take your one team into a season and your not even allowed to play the other games. (stupid) rating F

3. once you create a team you realize you wasted your money when you see, you play against the same players you picked, example, i picked aikman, i went to game to check it out, i played against aikman, i also chose emmit smith, my next games was against emmit smith. no way around this (suck) F-

4. you can create players and pick them and not play against them. (sorta cool) C

5. online is against same teams same players, same, same, everyone knows your name.

6. the gameplay is awsome the game is cool and fun, but you pay 60 for exibition, and thats it



overall replay value is------------1 out of 10 this could be the worst football game ever made, i mean its as bad as 10 yard fight on replay value.
the future is promising, but why anyone would leave out such simple features blows my mind.

The more I read the more I realise it would be pretty stupid to pay 70 bucsk for this game...Online never works out like its supposed 2,unless you have 16 friends all with 360's,Xbox Live and APF 2K8 then online cant be depended on for the games entire replay value...This is starting to sound like one of those games you forget about,then in 3 months when your buying something else you see it on sale for a discount price or as a pre-owned game thats selling for cheap,and you dont feel so bad about spending 30 dollars to pick it up....No way Im payin the full price tho...Half a game = Half the money...At least thats how I see it

Ive been saying the same thing about NBA 2K games for three years now...Great gameplay and no features,then the game loses its appeal in 2 months...Is this like a thing with 2K sports or what,they only focus on gameplay and nothing else,cause since NFL 2K5 came out all 2K games have felt incomplete

Hopefully they will next year. I think this game will be enough to warrent another try, and next year's could be great seeing as how they've got the good base of great gameplay to work off of. That should mean Madden and NCAA will continue to try to step it up because of the competition which is good for everyone. I guess this proves that it's really hard to make the jump to next gen no matter which company you are. Maybe now the people on this site won't spew so much hate towards Madden for the 06 and 07 efforts (doubt it).

I doubt it as well. I know people here are obviously more into 2K than EA, but they are soooo biased it's tough to even take any of them seriously. It's as if 2K's games are all gameplay perfection, while EA's games are regurgitated garbage, when in reality, neither is really true.

Well you obviously don't play the 2K hockey game then because that's overloaded with features like the needed franchise to the ridulous party mode and god knows what else that is completely irrelevent to the core gameplay - Partymode actually detracts badly from the essence of the sport.

Wasn't Madden 06 bare bones pretty much? And I remember everyone crying about 07 missing things the 'last gen' systems had. Don't even get me started on NBA Live 06, which had, hmmm, no franchise, AND garbage gameplay. This isn't a EA or a 2K issue, it's a fact of life when developing games for new(er) systems for the first couple of times. When Madden 06 came out they specifically said, we're leaving out certain features to build a new engine from the ground up, there isn't time or resources to do everything. 2k picked the things that are they're strengths to put into this game, seems like a good choice to me.

On second thought I'm not 100% sure on this. I know you can take a created team and switch the controller off of them once you start the game. I haven't created two teams yet.

The reason I'm trying all of this is because I am a strictly offline player only. I am hoping to do a 6 or 8 team spreadsheet league. Meaning I demo some of the games and play mine and keep track of the schedule and standings on the computer.
