Back since the days of 2K1, my then college roommate and I developed a strategy we employed before getting online and facing opponents. We picked our squads, Colts for him and Panthers for me, and started out with the worst team in the league on Pro. We went through until we beat all the teams on that level, and then stepped it up to All-Pro, then Legend. This way we knew we were fully versed in the nuances of the game before we stepped online to get it handed to us by some 12 year old girl from Abilene.

So what I want to know is--What's your strategy? Do you just jump online? Do you do practice mode? Playing your friends? How do you make yourselves better players?

I will never be an 'online beast' but I can guarantee you I wont quit!

That's the thing about this game. Each team you meet will have different strengths and weaknesses. You better create several teams ready to lock and load in order to match up and switch in order to win accordingly...

I just play if i win i win if i lose i lose. I just hated playing on Madden when someone would do same unstoppable play over and over. or there was always that one blitz that cannot be blocked.

on the NFL 2k games and this one i never had that problem and everyone i play is usually a good sport.

But does playing the computer AI help you get better? I always felt it did, but some say, "Just get online." Personally, I'd rather improve against a CPU than get destroyed repeatedly by people.
