Maybe it's me, but I was expecting a bit more of a "2k5" feel. I don't feel like I have nearly as much control on defense as I did in 2k5. I don't feel like I'm making as much of a difference with my D and switching players and getting in the mix, maybe I just haven't played enough games yet, but so far I'm not quite feeling it. I remember having similar feelings with 2k5 though so we'll see. I've only played about 5 games so far, definitely going to get some more under my belt tonight, but wanted to see if I wasn't the only one feeling this way.

I feel that same feeling when playing on D. Once you get a hang of the game. its all top notch.

Well i've found the Defensive audibles and control the best i've played in a long while..Before the snap i can do pretty much anything to throw off the Offense and after i get right into the play..i've over run alot of ballcarriers though but that should get better with time

did I say somewhere in my post that I wanted it to feel just like 2k5?? Pretty sure my post was asking if anyone else was having similar feelings about D on the game.

Personalize your playbook. I spent a couple hours doing that last night and now my team feels more like my team, like I have more control. Personally, I like the changes in the gameplay. I think it's just a matter of getting used to the feel of the game, especially for the ones who have been playing 2k5 for the last three years.

I disagree about the game playing like 2K5, first thing you'll notice is now you can't just run back and throw the ball. The QB has to be in a throwing position in order to get a good pass out. 3 step drop or 5 step drops are important now. The days of running back and sling it are over, running to the right to throw a screen to the left are pretty difficult since the QB has to turn his body and throw the ball with the wrong leg making the pass more realistic.
The QB pocket has structure, the only thing I dont like is if your opponent loads his Dline and manual uses the DT it could be a long day to get your passing game going since the passing is a little more challenging for beginners which must of us are at this point. The DE will come around to block you from going to the outside and the manual user with DT could change your drop step and your ability to throw accurate.
Another negative part I noticed was the audibles and DB Matchups. In my gameplan I always include the Prevent D with my audibles and in this game you can't choose it. With the matchups you can't really assign a certain player you can just "Focus" on the WR.
Another change is D, I could pretty much do as I pleased as a Safety but in this game they feel slow coming out of the play, you can't shift your Dline or at least I haven't been able to find out how. When you do shift your LB's though your line moves to the opposite side whats up with that?
The kicking game is nice idea but give me my damm option back with the power meter. Its pretty frustrating kicking with a no name kicker or punter.
The Good, running game you can't dance like a valerina for big runs (Well haven't mastered the new running style yet) haven't seen anyone use a big back for shoulder charges yet.
As I mentioned before the QB can't just shake and back in the backfield and make great plays down the field.
Online lobby tried to be similiar to Madden which I dont like, when I go to the lobby I dont need to chat with someone just play, Xbox Live has a feature already to speak or send a message to someone in the lobby, the game doesnt need it. Just get me to the lobby to pick an oppenent and play.
The ticker is okay when its Sunday, but right now I dont need to be distracted cause T. Brown resign with the patriots lol WTF??
I will be able to move on with the negatives as I play the game more and understand the new mechanics.

Saying I was expecting more of a 2k5 feel and saying I wanted it to feel exactly like 2k5 are 2 completely different things, so no... I didn't.

Yeah man, I feel you on that. The 'O' is pretty easy to adjust to, it's just my camera view that I have a problem with because I use to custom it in 2k5 - and I can't seem to get it at my liking. But the Defense is a whole 'nother story. I've only played about 3 games but my 'D' is killing me because I haven't got a grasp of it - and also the camera view on 'D' is messing me up too. I use my safety and at times I feel like I'm "skating". If I run up to the line prior to the snap sometimes and I get caught running thru the line of scrimmage even though I've let go of the control - I found out that you have to actually pull back.
And the prior to snap defense adjustments is going to take time, I'm sure I'll get caught adjusting as some cheese quick snaps me - it's happen already. lol...
