i went to practice and created a pass play, sat in the pocket and for an hour dodged tacklers to get used to it again.

Do they have the QB evade feature like they did in 2K5, where you move the right stick or is that not in this time around?

wow, I have to say, these are some of the worst QB players I've ever seen in a football game. I just watched that guys 11 minute ps3 video. He drops back he doesnt even stop, he throws the ball while he,s dropping back, he's about 15 yards back, those should be automatic picks. I would destroy these guys online.

man most the videos i've seen, the players suck. This guy calls quick slants and drops back 10 yards and throws off his back foot. WTF. I hope this is not the competition ill be facing.

Can't believe people are dropping back so much. This game has the greatest pocket system ever seen in a football video game, and everyone just drops back 20 yards and leaves it completely.

I know its crazy. But give people a chance. A lot of people are coming over from madden so they haven't played a real sim in 3 years. They will learn or earn the achievement for most picks.

Dropping back that far is just asking to be sacked..i mean the DE's go around you..just stay put and throw medium and short passes..some people just want to go deep everytime

The drop back is a little different this year so some people are still getting used to it. I have no idea if I'm dropping back too far or even throwing off my back foot. It's different from 2k5. But some people, you can tell have come from Madden.

I did this a lot because in madden you can... and before people get all insulted and ****, its not cause you can trhow while droping back in madden .. you can't... you just throw INTs.. but you can drop back and then stop and throw. Here if you drop back by holding the stick full and you stop and throw like in madden you usualy end up doing some turnaround animations, its weird... definetly takes some geting used to. Its just different, no biggie.

Marino is no better, he was all twisting around and **** like he was having a seizure, then he wouldn't throw it.. he'd pump fake it or something, what an ugly mess, poor guy, he got hit a lot! :(

It's simple, if you pick a pocket passer, you better pickup some o-linemen as well.

Good point. You really have to know how to play football to win at this game. That Madden 25 yard drop crap will not work. I let the CPU do the drop for me and then I get rid of the ball. Plays have designed drops (i.e. 3 step, 5 step ect..) Good plays occur when you keep the timing of the play. Also, and most guys online don't do this, THROW THE BALL BEFORE THE RECEIVER TURNS. You have to know the guys pattern and get rid of it. This is great on out patterns and any kind of hitch. These are the realistic nuances that make this game a great one.

I use Marino and it's awesome to wait in the pocket for the right moment and watch his lightning quick release fall to my receiver with pinpoint accuracy.

yep, I let the CPU control my drops, unless im calling quick patterns, or a roll out. Most players wait for the receiver to be wide open. you have to know where the receiver is gonna be and throw the ball before he's open. That's called making reads. Watch how the DBs play you. Put the difficulty all the way. And the game feels better, it's more realistic.
