How long before people make NFL rosters?

With the create a player option has anyone noticed that when you put in a name it pulls up suggested names below.


Anyone see when you type Vin.........it brings up Vinatieri??? Coincidence??? NOT! So who is making to rosters so we can use the transfer kit to load up the real teams and add on the legends????

You can't create real NFL players. I'm sure you can make players with common names but you can't make Vick, Tomlinson and others.

So to answer your question, I'd say never.

You can type in Vick. The announcers will call him "#7" if he's not in the data base. I created a thread last night about making NFL teams and playing with them online. I've already played several games online using my Cleveland Browns created team.

So to answer your question of how long until..? my answer was only 4 hours after having the game. I just wanted to see how many created players you could create because the rumor was 8, but i have 12 created guys right now and i'm sure i could add some more.

Only thing that sucks, the browns helmets are easy to make. Any other team wouldnt make sense.

Also, being the Browns, you shouldnt have any gold players :)

LOL!! This is very true. Kellen Winslow could be considered close though (he led the league in catches by a TE last year). So I made him and Braylon Edwards the two gold players.

Side note: when i was playing last night, i caught a one handed touchdown pass w/ Edwards. After he scored, he dropped the ball and did the Randy Moss moon! I couldn't beleive it. I don't know if anyone else has seen it yet, but i was laughing my a.ss off.

I played the Green Bay Pack last night and i don't remember seeing the Pack as one of the team names you could choose from.

The real question is 'Are the physical roster files able to be edited on a PC via a transfer kit?'.

If there is an element of editing outside the 360 (on PC in this case) then it may be possible for a programmer to make an App that allows all the Generic players to be edited fully through roster/season save files (allowing for full customization of whatever you'd like).

This obviously means that a dedicated coder would have to sit through and attempt to figure it all out, but it would be interesting to see either way (I've never tried it, so I have no knowledge of how easy editing 2K Sports stuff is).

you can make anyone but if you play online it only shows there first name and it does not show a name on eth back of the jersey...you can see it on your player but no one else online can see the last name or a name or the jersey just so you know

No. Both players can see it. I was playing a guy online and he brought up Willie McGinnest having five tackles when the stat line came up and showed it. And when you have a big play with one of your players it will show his name before they show the highlight.

I thought about dropping williams to bronze, but i cant think of a player to drop to bring in another Oline. I could prolly drop Ian Gold, and throw in Ben Hamilton.

That's interesting, seeing how I created the Falcons last night and played several online games with someone under center with a number 7 and VICK printed across their back..... He isn't quite as fast as he probably should be, but I just created a scrambling QB with the speed attribute and a cannon arm. He plays surprisingly as I would have figured Vick to if he were in the game..... So, to answer the original question, I'd say now.

It doesn't have to be one of the choices. You can name a player literally anything that you want to. You just have to type the name in.

I got the Browns and CoreyDB has the Bengals. Every other team is open.
