View Full Version : Cheap play not possible in this game?

Now I know this is the beginning and all but from what I have seen I don't really think cheap play is really that possible in this game. I have had a few people try to move their DE off the line and rush but it doesn't work like it used to because I just slide the protection. I have had a few Randall and Moon scramblers that have just got shut down pretty easily.
I also notice that there must be quite a few madden players that have migrated over because I'm noticing that alot of people like to drift out of the pocket and throw across the field,which is ofcourse Madden 101.
Loving the game so far..My only complaint is that is doesn't seem as responsive as 2k5. And I'm still trying to figure some things out. How in the hell do u QB spy?

hold in the db button, pick your back, then click the A button, or X if your on the ps3 I'm guessing

BTW, didn't I play you last night??? that was not my night lol, but we'll have to get a rematch i got a new team

Oh! Yea I thought the name looked familiar..I don't remember the game though. Who was on your team or what was your teams name and colors.
I want to play right now so bad but all my family is here so I won't be able to play untill later.
Yea even corner routes are shut down pretty easily but they are pretty easy to use when it is a legend vs a generic corner. Which I don't really mind this time around because it makes sense. So I'm still waiting for some stupid glitches to show their face. Maybe a little too early for that.

Lol I played both of those teams so I don't remember.

The only reason why its not as responsive as 2k5 is because its more of a sim game. You cant just turn around and run on a dime. The momentum thing mimic's real life movement almost to a T. its crazy insane how sim this game truely is.
P.S for all the sim plays who say using any Dlinemen is cheese. throw that **** outta your books. Glitching is not going to happen in this game. You have to actually use your moves.

I totally agree and I think that is why it is taking me some time to get used to it. Can't jump on everything like I used to be able to do with Roy Williams. And most games have been about the drive,not too many long bombs and big plays.
I have also ran across a few no huddle users and that doesn't work that well either. Seems to be real sim this time around or atleast for the time being.

I played a cheeser who used steve young. He was quite effective. I didn't know how to qb spy so that didn't help much. I still beat him but was kind of shocked how he played. The game is real sim but my offensive skillz suck. I mean i am top 5 in the leaderboards in rushing but i can't pass a darn. Most of you can contest to this.

Although the game is really sim the flea flicker works almost 2 well. In 2k5 it was a long shot if it got completed but it works like a charm in this game

A good db press and a few blitzers should stop the play..Keyword SHOULD..I haven't played anyone that abuses it yet.

I've been having the same problem. Just use the practice mode and work on your pass plays, I did that today and it helped.
