Where are the Gamespot and IGN reviews? It seems like they intentionally sit back and wait to see what the general consensus is regarding certain games before sticking their necks out on the line and publishing a review with a score.
This game has been in the works for months, and it has been atop the "wish lists" for a lot of fans, so there's definitely a desire to read about the game out there.
By the time Gamespot and IGN finally decide to publish reviews for this game, their opinions will be largely irrelevant due to the fact that forums like this are full of first-hand reviews, discussions of shortcomings and strengths, and fans hyping up or putting down the game.
If Gamespot and IGN want to continue being leaders in the sports gaming industry and want to have an influence on people's game-buying decisions, they need to get on the ball and have thorough reviews within 24-48 hours of the game's release.
(Just my 2 cents...I'll get off my soapbox and go back to work now!)

I agree, not that it matters on the two new releases bc I bought them both. But the should have reviewed NCAA and APF.

Uhmm maybe they are doing the smart thing and actually playing this game for a little bit first... if I had to give a review on this thing after my first day of game playing I would say it sucked ****!

My only reasoning for them both not to have reviews on this game is they are either waiting for the weekend (which i think they are) or they are simply hooked on da game!! (<--right ;)) or they are both stacked with E3 follow-ups.
I agree whicha talking about the irrelevance of their reviews compared to the peeps that already have the game and are giving some realistic reviews of the game. Being a game reviewer must be harder than it seems.

I was hoping to read them too...not that I care. APF is on the way, and I prolly will end up with NCAA to just to do dynasty.

Don´t even worry about their reviews. I wouldn´t even sweat it.

I for one DO care, gamespot and IGN are great sites. If they give a good review a lot more people will buy the game. The more people buy the game, the bigger the chance we get it in Europe, and the bigger the chance we can see a 2Kfootball game next year.
So yeah, I definatly care

remeber when they were late with their Live 07 reviews? How many of you were sure, that they were payed to hold it back so EA could at least sell some units?
I hope it's not like that with 2K but it makes me think so.

i for one am a little ****ed about the lack of a review. Gamespot has had the game for a while because they announced it on there forums. I just hope get one before the end of the week. I enjoy reading what they like about the game and what they dont like about it.

They dont have NCAA review either, and they came out at the same time.

I quoted you because you said you were worried about 2k paying to have the review delayed. And they also havent reviewed NCAA.
Unless you think there is a huge consipiracy of all companys paying to have their reviews delayed...they just want to spend some more time with the game before a review.

That's what I think. Paid with advertisments on their pages, exclusive footage of future titles and such things. In most cases, the reviewers have nearly finished games for previews, make up their mind with that and just wait for the publisher to say that it's okay to release a test based on that version.

This game is going to sell, just from word of mouth alone. All you need to do is read the user reviews on GAMESPOT and IGN. To be honest I don't buy games based on what they say any more. I buy it based on what people like me (everyday gamer) say.

Amazon is an indicator for the mainstream-interest - that's where the big sales are to be done. And at the moment APF has rank 182 (from 400something yesterday) in videogame-sales and NCAA is #13 (both 360-version). Doesn't look good for APF.
Well, i'd like to buy it, but it doesn't come out here... but that's another story

You guys who think that Gamespot is somehow holding out for EA are complete idiots.
What evidence do you have to even think like that? Here is their review of 2k5:

Wow, a 9.2.... what a miserable, anti-2k review they have given.
You guys need to give up the conspiracy theories and get real. IGN and Gamespot (and Game Informer) are respected review sites. I have seen plenty of times where they have given a full-spread special to game during previews... but once it comes out they nail it with the review.
I suspect they are just behind on their reviews from all the E3 stuff. Please, for the love of god, stop trying to portray some sort of huge EA conspiracy... it just makes you look stupid.
