Punting, Star Players and Other Stuff

OK, this is the first time I've really played a football game since the 2K series went away a couple of years ago (Always preferred it over Madden and I've tried to like Madden, I really have...), so I'm getting used to playing again.

I got the game yesterday and have only played 5 or 6 games (all offline so far) and have a couple of questions.

Kicking - I've got the kinks mostly worked out with PATs, kick-offs and field goals, but I can't seem to get a good punt for my life! I'm really tired of having my opponent start at the 40+ yard line... Any trick to timing the punt correctly?

Star Players - How come other teams seem to be able to have 3 or 4 gold players, or more silver players and only a few bronze? I'd give up two or three lesser players for an additional Gold Player in some instances...

Info For Other Games - When playing in season mode is there a way to view the stats for other games? At half-time and at the end of the game I'd like to see the stats for the other games that have been played rather than just my own... It would make it seem more "realistic" to have other players stats on the scroll.

Also, I don't seem to be able to review the stats of other games from the schedule, etc. I thought the info would be useful in coming up with a game plan against the next opponent in my game.

Love the game so far and don't miss having a current roster, especially when players like Montana, Sanders, Rice, etc., are available.

Dude, way to HONDA your own post (with similar name , but not exact)...Punting is still timing...practice is key.

I'm no expert, but you must be talking about offline play when you mention multiple GOLD (more than 2) player teams...specifically the LEGENDS. This is to provide extra challenge to you when you play the entire season.

I think the problem I'm having with the timing is that on punts, another player crosses right in front of the punter as he's about to kick. It throws me off.

And yeah, offline for the Legends. I haven't ventured online yet.
